| OBAMA, IRAQ, ONE QUESTION FOR YOU ALL!
|
|
|
Oh no! Am I really going with politics here? Damn myself.
Okay, here we go:
Obama guarantees he will get all of the troops out of Iraq in the first year of his term.
"What do we think will happen to Iraq after we suddenly pull out and will it improve our world opinion over the long run if the place falls to anarchy?"
Remember...whats done so far is done, don't want to hear the, "we shouldn't have gone there" bullshit. WE'RE THERE!! NOW WHAT!!?

My hubbs is AF, and he just got back from his 2nd tour of Iraq last month... Now i am politically illiterate, but from what I do know, I dont think that we should have all those soldiers there, but i dont think we should pull out completely, either. I think that would cause more harm than gain if we did. ANd yeah, the troops are all going through a lot over there, but they all knew what they were signing up for! Most of them want to be there! SO, for all those protesters and parents with the "ENd the war" signs... Shut the Hell up and be proud of them! If it wasnt for them, you wouldnt have the freedom to hold the signs or say "Stop The war" you dumbasses! ... Sorry... had to get that out.
P.S. I love ur posts. From one NY'er to another, I think your hilarious!

I think the guys that want to go over there (to Iraq) by volunteering (if they've never been) are being naive about their thoughts on war. They don't think about how they could possibly die...I feel like they just want to go over there to shoot their guns and be heroes.
Some of the guys over there *DON'T* want to be there. They joined the military long before the war to pay for things like college and then suddenly they are being shipped out. I don't understand why we're continuing to send people out there. (p.s. I have family and friends that have gone over there.) Was good done? sure. Is it worth it though?
Why does the United States feel like it has to be a big brother to all the other countries? Why can't we find other ways to help them? Why not fix things in our own country that need fixing before we try and fix other people's problems?
