i would like to preface this by saying that i wrote in the 8th grade, and i still remember every word. could i change some things: yes. but for nostalgia's sake, i will not touch it.
i once knew a boy with eyes like the moon
he slept with the stars, but loved a girl named June
June, she was beautiful, she had wings for hair
her skin, it was freckled, milky, and fair
but i love the boy with the moons in his eyes
he is my possession, he is my prize
but somehow i know, that i cannot compete
with someone who is so sickeningly sweet
so i'll stay here on earth, while above me they hover
and i'll think with a sigh, of my celestial lover.
