Today was a good day.....I was able to spend some much needed time with Mommie. I love the laughter we share together and the talks that we have. Mommie got the idea that I should do her hair. I really did not mind and well I was in my creative mode to deal with designing anyone's hair. It never fails for my cell to start ringing like I am Paris Hilton when I start getting involved with something. I am gald I put on my bluetooth. She was under the dryer getting a much needed deep conditioner on her hair when J called. The converse was fairly simple.
Me: Hello.
J: Hello, Ms. Nubian, How are you today?
Me: I am wonderful...just doing my mother's hair and yourself?
By this time , I was being signaled to continue to tak to him by my mother. I was really shocked I guess she knew something that I surely didn't.
J: I am fine but I can call you back later if you want.
Me: No, you are fine. I have time to talk.
J: OK, great! I wanted to thank you for stepping in and helping me whenI really needed it. Baby is talking about how nice you were even when our date ended so badly.
Me: Awww, that is sweet. Lemons happen all the time just have to learn what type of lemonade to make. Really I didn't think that the date went bad. It was different but it was a wonderful experience to me.
J: Really? I felt bad becuase you seem to have your heart set on going to the movies.
Me: Yes , I did it has been awhile since I have been to the movies with a man but chlidren always come first before pleasure. The movies will always be there and we can go some other time.
J: So,you still want to go out again?
ME: yes, I do. you did not do anything wrong.
I could hear him smile through the phone.
J: That is wonderful, Nubian. I would love to go out with you again,soon. I hope next time I get see more of your artistic side. I know you have one I can tell by the way you dress.
Me: LoL,is that right.Well, maybe one day you will see it.
His personal assistant chimed to inform him that is his appointment had arrived. I knew that was his que to cut the conversation short. We said our salutations then hung up the phone. I was left with a sense of renewal but at the same time I had to keep things in perspective. I have to make sure that I tell J my feelings the next time we talk. I would like to post more but I am a little tired so I will do it later.
