Its Friday and where am I you ask right here at Attorney's house. It was about 3 in the evening, no one is here except for she and I. I asked her how were things going. She took a sip her wine and attempted to smile but failed miserably. I comforted her and told her that she did not have to talk about it. She said while preparing little finger foods She does not even know about this meeting or the fact that we know her secret. I looked at her first then diverted my attention to the cocktail shirmp platter. I started looking around a little confused Attorney , why are making all this stuff. I doubt very seriously that anyone would want to eat. It's not a celebration. She laughed sarcaticly at me but I knew that she was nervous. Very nervous. I made her stop playing caterer so she could meditate for a minute until Everyone arrived. An hour later, She was refreshed and so was I I think I needed the meditation little more than she did . Refreshing my attire and my face to match my refreshed mind. Daughter was trying to figure out what was going on. Husband sitting at the table and tapping his feet while eating. Right on the time, other half to the equation has arrived. I sit back and watched Daughter's expression when she saw who was coming through the door. She looked like she wanted to hide and hope that this all would just go away. The introductions were made then meeting. I waited for everyone to be seated before I started talking. Mad Mama informed us that her husband was home battling the Flu and would join us via telephone. Can anyone tell us why we are here? The two children playing adults was quiet as a mouse. Attorney : I will start. I found a positive pregnancy test in your trash can while Iwas emptying it. Mad Mama , Mad Daddy, and Husband : What?!? Oooooook everyone I know that this will be an understatment but I must say it please sit down and try remain calm. Mad Daddy : Son, I am so disappointed in you. I can't talk right now , all I can do is absorb it all in and wait until I see you. Mad Mama : Your father and I both have told you what it was like for us a teenage parents. Why did you do this? Are you even scared of AIDS or STDs? Husband : Babygirl , why? I have told you how hard it was for me being a single teenage father? Both children had their head hung low looking at the floor searching for answers. Mad Mama: Honey Bun , this is not the same girl that we have been seeing over to the house. Daughter shot a look across the room at Man Child that was meant to kill him. I shook my head because I knew where this was going. I see there are som issues that need to be bring to light. Mad Mama smacks Man Child across the head. Man Child : Babygirl, you are not the only one I have been seeing. Daughter: You told me that I was the only one. The was room silent everyone shaking thier head in dis belief. What is the plan? How are you going to support the baby? Niether had an answer. All the parents agreed that the children were going to take care of thier baby. This means all education plans are still in effect.The medical expenses would be split down the middle. Attorney suggested a DNA after the baby was born. Mad Mama: We agree with whatever you decide. We will back you 110% of the way. I was amazed how all the parents were focused on the real issue at hand not start the blaming game. Mad Mama: Listen here,you lil' non wearing condom fool,You tell this other girl what you did before she finds out the hard way. Now you show these nice people that we did not raise you in a barn. Man Child : I apologize for betraying your trust and taking Daughter's virtue. All was forgiving but Duaghter was not trying to hear it by going up stairs. Time for a rally meeting in Daughter' room. Attorney and Mad Mama spent some time talking to Duaghter for awhile. I was really impressed that this meeting was positive and issues were resolved. Somtimes I wish my issues were just that simple.
