Prelude, I'm brand new to blogging but came across your post. You can't live your life running after other people it will wear you down. You need your own happiness and humans are selfish we all need to be sometimes. Is adore the same as love? Even if it is love, I do not think it conquers everything. You need to make him realise you will not put up with this and he may start treating you as his lover. He is obviously affectionate and that's a shining light.
