In twelve days I'll be another graduate from high school. Just another kid that can't wait to get the hell out of their town. Just another kid attending college in the fall. Just another kid with nothing to do over the summer but get in to trouble. As fun as that all sounds, there is so much that really needs to be accomplished this summer, and a whole lot I'm putting off. I have college classes this summer, I've got work this summer, I'm trying to move out this summer, and Justin is leaving this summer. I'm really looking forward to trying to make it on my own, but I know that it is going to be so hard. Living on my own is something that I think is really important for me because Justin will be gone a lot for the Marines, and I'll have to get used to being alone. It's sad really, if you think about it. I guess it's just part of being an army wife though. Is it possible to feel so grown up, yet so like a child? It's like, I want all this stuff to happen, but I just want it to simply happen. I don't want to have to try to plan it all out, get my hopes dashed when they don't work. I just want them to happen. I know that's silly, and that I'm not a child, but a girl can dream can't she? It's difficult to picture Justin leaving. Right now, it feels like I can handle it, but I know that when he leaves, I'm just going to lose it. I hope that maybe by the time he does leave, I'll be strong enough to take care of myself.
