I do love flowers as well, I think all females do. But it's the memories I cherish, and nothing is so sweet as a song created just for the one you love

I never thought of it so logically...but you are right...for true love to speak, it needs to be with a song or something similar. Players would never be able to compose such a craft. Their one-track minds would be obvious and revealed.

Now, if someone wrote me a poem--since I have a sort of love-hate relationship with poetry--I probably would hate it and not give them the response they sought. A song...written and sung(guitar or piano accompaniment would be a big plus)...for me... Now, that might very well be the thing that knocks me off my feet:P

No, I have to disagree...beautiful voice is essential:P Just like when you look at the person you love and wish to honor them in art...so must I hear their singing voice--as those in love DO like to sing--and like it just as much. A bad singing voice is just like a bad kiss. Do I ask too much?:P

I have a love/hate relationship with flowers, as well. I love to pick fresh flowers and give them to women who inspire me...and in them I see a similar beauty to the flower/s. But, I too dislike the fact that once picked they wilt. I think it is a message to us all to appreciate things where they are and not try to take them elsewhere.

A song sung by the one I love would sound beautiful no matter what their voice sounds like. I am not one for material things, but memories are what draws me. The song needs not to be anything flashy, it can be a simple melody, as long as it's from the heart. If it's from the one I love, it would sound sweet to me, no matter who was singing it.

Flowers are beautiful, and I love them, but when they fade they sadden me. A potted plant which flowers solves this, as I can watch it grow and flower many times. But even that can't compete to something written for me, from the heart.

Oh, the downside of the song idea? It is an original creation just for you...but that also makes it maybe a little more difficult to forget or dismiss if that "lover" is not the one that stays/lasts. I think of little favors done/made for me in the past by a few who did not stay by my side. It pains me to keep those momentos even if all of us want such things to be kept and cherished. Sometimes even the wrong love wants to be remembered in art. But, I don't want to be haunted by a song of someone who was wrong...for me:P

Ah but the memory of love, is that not beautiful in itself? Might bring forth different emotions later, but the heart of it will always be there. Maybe one day someone will write you a song, and you'll feel differently after. Because no matter what, in the end, you'll always remember a time when someone loved you enough to write you a song. That is a memory to cherish, even when situations and circumstances change
