Today started off pretty good. On my to-do list I added "meditate for 15 minutes". So, when I woke up this morning (after 9 am...woo hoo! Thanks for taking care of the kids this morning Babe!) I ended up trying to meditate. First, I sat up and sat indian style. (I know...not pc) Then I closed my eyes and tried to clear my mind of any thoughts. That's pretty hard to do. For a minute there, I wasn't sure if I was sleeping sitting up or if I was "in a zone". Still not sure for that matter. I kept repeating to myself..."calm" (instead of om) I figured saying "calm" had a nice message. It was relaxing. I think I'll try again tomorrow. I'm neurotic so I'm pretty sure I'm going to look up "how to meditate". It'll be good.
My husband decided he wanted to set up a "monthly goals" dinner group. This group consists mainly of my cousins and his sister's family. We have a potluck dinner at our house. After dinner, we sit around talking about goals that we each want to accomplish for the month until our next meeting. I was a little nervous about the meeting. Wasn't sure how everyone would take to it. Four months later, we seem to be moving in a seriously positive direction. Who would have thought!? One of my goals was to create a to-do list each night so that I would be more productive. Hence the meditating. My cousin Audrey mentioned starting a blog to keep herself "accountable" for goals. That sounds pretty good. So, here I am. Blogging. I've always been pretty uneasy about blogging. It's scary to put myself out there for people to read my thoughts. I'll get over myself now.
