Not a single seizure since the 10th of September. Natalie
continues to do well, and is so excited to not be needing to take naps
all of the time. She has come out of her fog, and her old
personality is back. I forgot what a quick wit that she used to
have. With all of the seizure meds, it was gone for so
long. I also forgot that sometimes she back talks a
bit. I do get a bit irritated when she back talks, but at the
same time, I feel overjoyed to have my little girl back. Don't
get me wrong, Nat is a great, sweet little girl, she just tells you
exactly what is on her mind.
I remember last spring when
she had her Kindergarten program. A lot of the other parents were
crying a bit, just to know that Kindergarten was coming to an end, and
the kids all looked so grown up. I was crying because I had to
sit and watch my child have 8 seizures during the program. They
were just absense and myclonic seizures (quick jerking and blank look
on face), and I don't know if anyone else even noticed, but it was hard
for me to watch. Well, she had a Veterans Day assembly on Friday,
and her first grade class sang at it. I went to watch, and got my
chance to shed those Happy tears, like all of the other parents got
last spring. It was AMAZING!
It is conference time
this week at her school, and I have her conference this afternoon, I am
praying that everything is going as well at school as it is going at
home!
