| Another week....seizure free! |
|
Well,
What a wonderful week this has been! Natalie is
doing better each day, napping less and less. Today she went to a
birthday party after school, and after dinner she will go to the local
high school homecoming football game with her grandparents, with a
sleepover with grandma and grandpa to follow. I think back to
just a month ago, and there is absolutely NO WAY that she could have
done all of that in a day, (maybe not even in a week!) She
is back to being a normal 6 year old! I praise God everyday for
the miracle that we have seen over the past month. The past year
has been difficult, but it also has taught us a lot. We learned
that we have an AWESOME church family, that have been by our side the
entire time. We learned about having faith in God. We
always have had faith in God, but when your child is ill, it was
different. I had to put it all in his hands, which was
difficult. I am her Mom, I should be able to fix it. I
couldn't fix it. I had to pray and put it in his hands, and know
that he loves her even more than I do, and that he has a plan for
her. I just need to fully trust him, in everything that I
do. Our prayer lives have changed a lot over the past year
also. I pray so much more now than before! So, as tough as
this has been, I can see a lot of good. I also am totally aware
that with epilepsy, anything can happen. The meds can stop
working, and we could be right back where we started from.
But....God is in control, and he will carry us through it again!
