Hello Internet World...
Not sure where to begin. But as my profile says, I'm a newly single twenty something who is going to fulltime grad school, working part time, and trying to maintain some sanity. Although the urge to run out and find a cute Rebound Man is extremely tempting at times, I've decided to wait a bit before going out in the dating world. I need to get comfortable being alone again.
Unfortunately, as we all know, the relationship grieving process can lead us to do some...interesting things. Probably the most surprising, and arguably impressive or disgusting thing, was my consumption of almost half of a bottle of Scotch Whiskey. Clearly, my Celtic heritage has given me a hearty liver. I had neither hangover or fainting spell. Just a good night's sleep.
Other side effects due to said Break Up: compulsive shopping...fortunately at cheap places at the bargain season of the year. I also bought myself a beta fish. And have enjoyed purposely eating all of the food my Ex always hated. And all the music he hated. Somehow it makes me feel better. I've been checking out all the young men I see, and being obvious about it. It's fun to see their faces look back at you in excitement and interest.
So, my New Years Resolutions: Obviously, must kick ass at school and work. On a personal level, start up all my old hobbies in my spare time. Remain open to meeting people, but do not purposely force things to happen (ie Do NOT pick up guys at bars, clubs, etc). Reconnect with old friends.

Good luck. It is hard to start over. I'm working on my end too... I hope you enjoy all the stuff he hated. I know it's fun to do all the stuff they wouldn't with you.
Go kick ass girl!
