This Week...a different kind of energy
A different kind of energy this week...my own.  Just the other day my husband and I were talking about how we are now 'adults'.  At 27 we have finally taken the plunge into being responsible, super busy, totally disorganized people.  I swear I didn't know I could accomplish so much work in such a short amount of time and not crash from it till a few days later.  Not to mention the two year old that has become "Mommy's Shadow", I can't even take a shower in peace.  That was my last escape from the crazy world of daycare, paperwork, housework, softball games & the crazy cat.

I have no idea what this has to do with business communication but let me tell you I am learning about a whole new beast at home that may help me in the future to deal with irate customers.  She stands 36 inches tall and has a set of lungs that would put Pavorotti to shame.  She is my daughter and let me tell you she is a tough cookie.  I have a hard time reasoning no gummi snacks before dinner with her.  And forget bathtime, all I get is..."My Daddy do it!!!"  Could drive a sane person crazy.  Good thing I don't have that problem.

I am learning that people come in all shapes, sizes & all with different temperaments.  All this from a 2 year old you say, no my other kid is 27 and he can be a realy tough bargain too.  I have been in this working mom role for a year now and it has taken me just about as long to get my husband to help around the house.  At least he gets rid of the old newspapers.  He finally realized that I can't do it all and that no one can do it all.  This translates to the workplace too.  A co-worker of mine thinks she is freakin' Superwoman and can do it all.  That is definitely not the case, there are errors right and left.  No one can seem to get through to her.

So, what have I learned this week about energy....Keep the AC off, Keep the cabinet stocked with Gummi Snacks and Never EVER make your job a career, your career is home with your baby and husband.
