| His Word, My Strength |

I was reading an email of a close friend of mine who has just arrived in Brazil to volunteer in missions to save street kids when the verse at the end of her email made an impression on me as if a magnet drawing a piece of metal. Immediately I knew it was what I needed. His Word says: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 4: 5-6). You see, as I will tell you more in my later postings, I'm suffering from anxiety and depression and currently on medication, and I've come to realize that there's no one but the Lord who can save me and bring me out of this pit of darkness. Yes, only Him, and Him alone. Lord, your Word is my strength, my sword, and my shield of protection. I need you and your Word. Thank you for your provision in my life, your healing my body and mind, and your bringing joy to my soul! Thank you that I am a son of the Most High God!
