 Am I going bonkers

I'm sure I'm loosing the plot! ...

On a recent visit to the supermarket, I was engrossed looking for a present for my baby niece. All of a sudden I noticed that my handbag was missing, frantically I searched through an empty trolley! looked around the floor & told the nearest assistant that my bag must have been snatched without me noticing.

Within seconds there was a flurry of assistants searching the baby department, security were watching the carpark & the camera tapes were being looked at in the office to locate the incident. Feeling the need to help, I decided to check the toilets for my empty discarded bag & the car...just in case.

There sitting smugly on the drivers seat of my car was my handbag! Elated & embarrassed I had to return to the shop & confess what an idiot I'd been! AGAIN!..

Only a few weeks previous I kept breaking into tears whilst shopping, as I replaced items on the shelf that we no longer needed as one of my sons had left home for uinversity. I was in such a state that I had to open the tissues before paying! After getting through the checkout & blubbing to the poor cashier, I arrived home to discover I'd only got half the shopping, had bought spinach to make watercress soup & bought a 'tester pot' in the makeup section instead of the real thing, which gave customer services a laugh when I returned it!

Am I going bonkers or is it my imagination that the shop assistants are beginning to give me a knowing look every time I go shopping!

I think it's just your hormones mate. Don't worry about it. I cry at everything.

This is what happens when one's life is suddenly apparent to them. It seems this happened to you with the abrupt removal of your children when they ventured to the university. As for the market employees, I say, "see another market".

You're not going bonkers if this upsets you then just wait a few more years it's going to get worse. "Fasten your seat belt it's going to be a bumpy ride".
