SO... I know I have been away for a little while. Let me just put it all in perspective.
I've been having a really really hard time lately, and consequently have really stopped exercising and eating well. (well, I've been eating healthy, but really been indulging- if I want a margarita with my grilled chicken salad, I'll have it. Or an icecream sundae... after my very healthy dinner of beans, grilled flank steak and green beans). Or, I've been really overdoing and then not eating for the rest of the day... unhealthy behavior I know. But, oddly enough, I have not gained any weight. Ironically, I have lost weight- like another 3 pounds, putting me at my lowest weight in a year.
Also, my new birthcontrol is really throwing me for a loop- strange cravings like chocolate chip cookies and cheddar cheese (?!?!?). But tomorrow, I'll pledge to do something at least- I'll go to the gym. And, though I probably won't be back to dieting tomorrow (or the next few days) I'll be journaling what I eat.
Lastly, I think something is seriously wrong with my thyroid. Why is it that when I'm working out like a fiend, eating well and genuinely trying, I gain, and yet, when I eat like crap stop working out and just give up I lose weight? It all seems a little weird to me and my super duper healthy boyfriend. I have an appt. to go to the dr. So, hopefully that helps.
So here goes...
Sandwich: cheddar cheese, apples, ham and raspberry jam on homemade bread
Dinner: flank steak, whitebean mash, greenbeans with prociutto.
Dessert: Icecream with two chocolate chip cookies and whipped cream.
Hopefully when all is said and done, It hasn't totally killed me...
