Because if you are then you might get a reward during March. They're sending out vouchers during this month to their "star buyers" So keep your fingers crossed that you might be one of the lucky ones that gets one through the post. Then you can praise the name of ebay above all others for the £10 voucher they've given you and then have that warm feeling in your heart that they actually care.
If, however, you're not so easily bought, you'll realise what a sham these ebay promotions actually are. They do this from time to time to try and prove that they have a nice (if somewhat creepy) fluffy side. In the past it's been mousemats, baseball caps, and a mug (something deeply symbolic about that last one!) - in other words, cheap crap! And those that receive them seem to always go into orgasmic fits of gratitude for these measley scraps from the table, leaving behind any dignity they may have had.
I once received a mousemat from ebay. I felt so insulted by it that it went straight in the bin!
But this month ebay are sending out vouchers to their "Star Buyers" along with a phone number in case they need any help, but the kind of help most of these idiots need goes way beyond what ebay could ever provide for them.
These ebay vouchers come in varying amounts, from a few pounds to £10+ depending on how much buying they've done in the past. But already there are problems. "Star Buyers" receiving them have tried using them, and finding that paypal isn't accepting them, forcing them to pay for their "voucher items" with their own funds!
I couldn't help but laugh, in their effort to make buyers feel important (over sellers, who should be important to ebay) they've well and truly fucked many of them up the arse! So congratulations ebay, for a useless job well done! You may not have meant to do that to your buyers, but your sellers appreciate it anyway |
