Hello Everyone,
I have had another horrible day and one where stress keeps mounting upon me when all I want to do is simply lean back and relax. Just one day I would like that. Instead, something always occurs to jam up the works and occupy my time.
I won't go into the wretched details of the day but because of all the stress I decided to take a nap this afternoon/evening. All was going good and I finally fell asleep when I was first awoken by my granddaughter who was dropped off for a visit. She wakes a person in a most unusual way... she loves to stick her nose up to yours - stare at you and then poke one of your eyeballs. Nothing harsh mind you just an ever-pressing finger slowly increasing.
Naturally, I'm now awake, she's happy and runs off. I try again to go back to sleep only to then be re-awoken asking to check on my daughters cat that I've been keeping, named Swedi.
Swedi has lived a LONG life for a cat and is basically 19 years old... or was. She died quitely in her sleep and I was left the duties of telling my daughter and now tomorrow - another day now full of work and stress, I will be burying Swedi on my farm. I promised my daughter years ago that when the end came, Swedi would be handled with care to the very end and not end up in a dumpster like so many cats around here do - and I am a man of my word.
I owe much to this pet that gave us so many years of fun.
So, a mini-tribute to Swedi who gave many years of entertainment and love to my daughter and the rest of my family:

Here's to you, Swedi!
~ Rest in Peace ~
Take care everyone!
