 New York, NY Day 2
Today, I let Big K sleep in as she was tired from her previous night of excited anticipation and couldn't fall asleep right away.  We had a late start getting into Manhattan.  We bought a subway pass and took it down to the South Ferry to catch the Statin Island ferry for a free ride.  It was a bit misty and at times light rain came down throughout the day.  The repreive was that there was a nice breeze where ever we went.  We took many pictures of Lady Liberty.  Afterward we made our way over to the Brooklyn bridge via Wall Street.  Many beautiful buildings and amazing architecture.  We passed a couple of museums and caught a large sculpture of a bull's behind.  Big K got a kick out of it.

We walked to the first archway of the Brooklyn bridge which was amazing and read some of the details on how they strung the cables across.

We then made our way to Chinatown where we were lured to purchase handbags, perfume and trinkets of all sorts.  I especially liked the fish markets.

We then took the subway uptown and met up with another fellow blogger...Big K made him go on the Ferris Wheel at Times Square in the Toys R Us.  Anyone want to guess..who he is.?  Only those who aren't privy to knowing are allowed to guess.

He then took us to Brooklyn Diner for dinner.  Big K had a Greek salad, I had a pizza and he had a corned beef sandwich.  It was delicious.

We then made our way to Magnolia Bakery for some famous cupcakes.  I had already sampled my cupcake before realizing that a picture was in order.  They were the most chocolaty, sweet sensation that I had tasted in a long time.

We walked some more around the city that never sleeps and headed back to our bus.  We said our goodbyes to my blogging friend.  I have to say that the experience of meeting my second friend from thoughts was very good.  He is a real gentleman and I loved his accent.  He knew all the great places in uptown to show Big K and I and we of course reminisced about thoughts.  Thank you for such a wonderful evening.  You know who you are.

P.S.  We couldn't possibly not go shopping as well.  Here are a pair of shoes Big K picked out at Daffys.  Love that store..so discounted.

The pizza was so good. It was thin crust with just the right amount of sauce and cheese with a crispy crust. MMMM.

I am glad you are enjoying the ride. I have so much more to tell tonight. I have to first download my photos and then I will write my blog. Will reveal soon. Just thought it would be fun to ask if anyone wanted to guess. The blogger is male and lives close to New York.

Moxi -- It looks like you and Big K are having an amazing time. Is this your first visit to NYC? -- as you seem to "somewhat" know your way around. Loved the photos of the city and scrumptious food -- makes me hungry -- pass me one of those cupcakes, please. NYC is a place I hope one day to visit. Reading about your trip makes me want to experience the city sooner rather than later. I might be wrong, but I think the thoughts blogger is our very own resident gentleman, White Knight. Peace.

CD, we are having a great time. It is actually my 3rd visit to NYC. Last March I went with a good friend for 3 nights and we walked the city. Last Sept I went with my X as our last couples holiday. It was a bit strange taking Big K to some of the spots that he and I visited because I found myself telling her about how her dad and I went there and sat there.etc. I am making newer memories now with her and they are so special.

The lady wins a prize!
I will post about the meeting coming up later...and to think Moxi you felt I might not want you to post the pic...I get called the resident gentleman and sweet faced, what more could I ask for.

Glad you are flattered. It was so great to walk with someone who knew where they were going. Thanks again.

Those shoes are dreadful!:P Look like Frankenstein boots. And, the city photos...not too impressive yet:) A bit too much bull, if you ask me:P I did not need to see more nuts:D

But, any time I hear "Chinatown", my ears perk up a bit:) Although, gotta watch yer wallet, I bet:P

That was the Greek salad?? Why do they always make it look like a pile of garbage?:P It never really looks like a salad unless they break up all the veggies and feta into a mix.

And, are those PEAS on that pizza????:O....the HORROR!!!:S Geh-ross!

Yes, they are nice cupcakes:) HEY, I was talking about the cupcakes!:P

I do NOT know who the blogger is(not sure I've seen too many from NY here)...but he looks like the ex of my sis:P

Next?:)

LOL Stormy. Those shoes rock and she will be sticking out on her first day of school...exactly what they are meant to do :P
I thought the salad was hilarious but with a little knife it actually tasted wonderful and yes peas on pizza that part was my least favourite of the corners. I didn't show my cupcakes, err ya I did but these were way to yummy to resist. We ate them all up.
Now you know - it is Whiteknight.
Thanks for stopping in and the funny comments.
