| New York, NY Day 2 |
Today, I let Big K sleep in as she was tired from her previous night of excited anticipation and couldn't fall asleep right away. We had a late start getting into Manhattan. We bought a subway pass and took it down to the South Ferry to catch the Statin Island ferry for a free ride. It was a bit misty and at times light rain came down throughout the day. The repreive was that there was a nice breeze where ever we went. We took many pictures of Lady Liberty. Afterward we made our way over to the Brooklyn bridge via Wall Street. Many beautiful buildings and amazing architecture. We passed a couple of museums and caught a large sculpture of a bull's behind. Big K got a kick out of it.

We walked to the first archway of the Brooklyn bridge which was amazing and read some of the details on how they strung the cables across.

We then made our way to Chinatown where we were lured to purchase handbags, perfume and trinkets of all sorts. I especially liked the fish markets.

We then took the subway uptown and met up with another fellow blogger...Big K made him go on the Ferris Wheel at Times Square in the Toys R Us. Anyone want to guess..who he is.? Only those who aren't privy to knowing are allowed to guess.

He then took us to Brooklyn Diner for dinner. Big K had a Greek salad, I had a pizza and he had a corned beef sandwich. It was delicious.

We then made our way to Magnolia Bakery for some famous cupcakes. I had already sampled my cupcake before realizing that a picture was in order. They were the most chocolaty, sweet sensation that I had tasted in a long time.

We walked some more around the city that never sleeps and headed back to our bus. We said our goodbyes to my blogging friend. I have to say that the experience of meeting my second friend from thoughts was very good. He is a real gentleman and I loved his accent. He knew all the great places in uptown to show Big K and I and we of course reminisced about thoughts. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. You know who you are.
P.S. We couldn't possibly not go shopping as well. Here are a pair of shoes Big K picked out at Daffys. Love that store..so discounted.
