MT: Hey God, it's me again.
God: Hey MT, it's always good to hear from you. I know you better than anyone and can meet your needs. I also love to make you strong when you go through trials.
MT: I believe you. If you exist, I can only imagine being in Heaven for eternity.
God: "If?"... Why are you saying "if?"
MT: I'm sorry God. I think I just doubt sometimes, because I struggle with believing and especially knowing you are real even though we're supposed to be "without excuse." I think Satan likes to tell me you're not real and that you aren't going to help me because he'll do anything to try to "sway" me. I know I just have to ignore him. I've learned to see him as my defeated enemy. These thoughts strengthen my faith and I love how mad it makes him. I also realize that I love when I hear or read something that gets my doubt to "dissolve" little by little.
God: Ha! That's just the "Chip falling off your shoulder."
MT: LOL! Aw come on God, do you really believe that?
God: Well... I think you're kind, but sometimes on the inside you struggle with being willingly compassionate towards people. I'm glad you can do the right thing even when you don't feel like it. I think in society, a big problem is that people "talk the talk" but they don't "walk the walk." For you I think it's a process of learning to willingly love people and really "walk the walk."
MT: I was hoping you wouldn't notice that Lord. Keeping myself "in check" and "checking my wedge" on my "axe handle of life" is important so I don't "fly off the handle." I remember Timothy in the Bible calling it "losing your head." I realize now that "checking my wedge" is more difficult than I thought.
God: Don't worry. I won't give you more than you can handle. I like what Shakespeare said about life being a stage because the truth is there are a lot of people watching you and cheering you on so take heart! I am not a nosey God or a stalker, but I do know all and you can take comfort in the fact that "I've got your back."
MT: ...Thanks God.
God: MT... I know what you're thinking and you don't have to be afraid of saying you love me. I am not someone you'll ever regret saying "I love you" to.
MT: You're working on my faith aren't you?
God: I told you I would. The truth is, you're right about Satan. He wants to destroy your faith and steal you from my kingdom. That way, he has one less enemy. You should see him for the coward he is.
MT: ........Wow! Well thanks again God! That really helps and means a lot to me.
