 Mad World
I have been thinking alot today about the world we live in.
How devestating it has become,

I mean i look at all the signs that our planet is succumbing to global warming and does anybody really care. If they do they really dont show it, in fact they are helping us along into a total planet melt down.

Australia is becoming so dry its depressing, most states and towns are on water restrictions but there are still so many people who think someone else will do there bit.
Take my sister for example, as part of these restrictions we are advised to take shorter showers, 4 mins. Easy done, well not for her or her boyfriend.
They insist on having every single shower together likes it impossible to be seperated for the length of the shower, ordinarily i would support the joint shower thing, if you were actually saving water. But no they are in there for what seems like forever, i can watch a whole episode of the simpsons in the same amount of time.

Meanwhile some farmer in some dry part of the country has to kill another cow/sheep because there isnt any water and hence no food.

And the government is a real help. "We want more people to use our public transport system which will mean less cars on our roads and less pollution in the air"
Um..............yeah ok well why dont you build a reliable and comfortable transport system, then people may be inclined to use it.
I take the train to and from work everyday, and it is total BS somedays. If the temp gets over 30 degrees, majority of trains are cancelled and the others are all late and packed to the rafters.
I'm not on a peak train and on a normal day they run a 4 carriage train and there is plenty of room and no one is standing.

But for some bizare reason unknown to the common man for the past 3 days not to mention the other days last week, they have run this one carriage sprinter (scoffing at the word). It is so packed, people are standing everywhere, and they have to refuse mothers with prams entry because there isnt any room, then they think they can justify this by not checking tickets so that everyone "thinks" they are getting a free trip, well hello Mr V-Line and Ms Connex but we are required to purchase a ticket BEFORE we board the train, so technically it means nothing.
Dont even get me started on train etiquette. I'll save that for later.

So remember guys and gals Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Peace

Dont get me started; dont even get me started...thank you very much, Molly Shannon:P Wow, I am slowly learning about Australia and how it is turning into India. Scary stuff. Sure sounds dire. Come on, everyone. Sing together. Matchbox 20 "...the world is coming to an end...I guess we're gonna pretend...Let's see how far we've come."

To have a thinker make a brainstormer think even more about such dire conditions...that's...something:P

Oh, almost forgot...the whole lover sharing shower thing...in the words of Paris Hilton, "That's HOT.":P But, a 4 minute shower? That's harsh. Better hope the water is just right and you have fast hands. 4 minutes; I'd still feel dirty:P

Dang, I was sure someone else would have commented by now...guess no one cares about Australia or yer all down under there?

Well, I tried the 4 minute shower thing tonight, but I failed. I think I had the water running 10 minutes. It took at least a minute to warm up, and when I turned it off I think I spent 2 minutes wiping it down...so I estimated 10 minutes of running water. 4 minutes is like just enough time for a decent hair washing. If I didn't soap up and just hosed off, maybe I could pull it off...but, YECH:P
