 It's gonna be a long one... But it's my journey.
I weigh 260 lbs. and my journey is to run myself fit. My goal is to be fit and look great in 1 year.

I started on Monday, 30 July 2007. I am starting off slow, working my way up to 1 mile right now.

On Monday, I started off by walking and I was walking fast enough to actually jog. So I thought to myself, "what the heck?" So, I started jogging. I jogged for 1/4 mile and walked the other 3/4 mile. It felt good to actually jog. By the end of the day my right hip joint was very sore and it was hard to walk without limping and my right shoulder blade was very sore. I am not sure why only the right side of me was sore...

31 July 2007 (Tuesday) -- I thought about getting on that treadmill again... But that is as far as I got, only thinking about it. I was just too sore from the day before. My best friend says, "Atleast you thought about it." But just thinking about it is not gonna get me any closer to getting fit.

1 August 2007 -- I had a good night's sleep and I was not sore anymore. I got back on that treadmill. This time, I walked 1/4 mile then jogged 1/4 mile, then walked 1/4 mile and jogged the last 1/4 mile. I was pretty proud of myself. I worked myself up to jogging 1/2 mile already. Not too bad for someone who weighs 260 lbs...

2 August 2007 -- It took me a little while to actually want to get on that treadmill today. I made myself some fresh brewed green tea and sat down and watched some TV for a little while.. Well, a long while. I did that until 10am. I finally said to myself, "You HAVE to do this!" I cannot give up on this again. I have tried sooo many things to get myself fit and well, I can never seem to stick to them.  I got on that treadmill and started jogging. I jogged 1/2 mile without a break to walk this time and  I actually felt my calves burn... And then I walked the last 1/2 mile. I'm slowly building up my stamina to jog for longer periods of time.

Once I get myself up to jogging the whole mile, I will add an aditional mile to walk and then work myself up to jogging that extra mile.

keep it up!!! that is fantastic that in only a few days you jogged a 1/2 mile straight today. make a decision in your mind that you will stop for nothing to achieve your goal, and you will reach it... were cheering for you!

you are being too hard on yourself, you are doing great. When I know I have to exercise the next day, I wake up early, wash my face and brush my teeth then get on that treadmill at like 7am and work that thing out and grab a shower. You feel amazing after, please try this. :]
