There are tears I have cried for you my friend..
Things I want to yell at you and say to you…
Above all… I don’t know how to help you through this..
I just don’t..
And that hurts because I cant help my friend..
And I feel uselss when it comes to you…
Of all the people I know what to say, but when it comes to us, you and me…
I don’t know how to help you
…
have you ever felt so useless?
that you just dont know how to make it better?
regardless they have to help themselves it doesnt change that you want to help
we after all are human
we want to help those in our heart..

It's hard when you don't know how to help someone close other than to just be there for them. Sometimes, that's more than plenty though.

I always feel this for people when they have had to deal with a death! There is nothing to say and no way to help. All you can do is be there if they need to lean on you.

eeerm- it sucky when you know the whole things happen for a reason and it always turns out for the better...
but when the other person is being stupid and doesnt realise it.. you just wanna strangle them!!

Anotherdaze- thank you for ur comment it is hard when an incident as such as death is invovled... its lucky enough it isnt the situation.. but at the same time with nothing to say... its hard to just be.. when you want to do so much more...

Hey girl...I'm in a similar situation with one of my friends...and i know that feeling of helplessness. It kills you, but then all you can do is just be there.
I know what you mean about knowing that it'll work out and them not seeing that...you really DO feel like strangling them!!
I hope things work out for both of you...just be there, thats all that you can do at the end of the day.

thanks so much for your comment, i know im not alone in this.. but strangling is the only thing i want to do them.. and hten slapping.. just wish they could see the positive out of this, accept and move on, not mope around and not eat and loose all sense of their human identity...
blahhh....
but i'll keep being positive and just being here, knowing its the most powerful thing to offer, just waiting for them to realise it.. thats the toughest thing.. cuase you cant force em. =[

I totally know what you mean. You want so much to help them and they're just being blind. You wanna shove their face init just to show them the thruth. Make them see.

i have had many friends who were doing really stupid, harmful things. i tried, and tried, and tried some more until i was so exhausted i couldn't handle it anymore. like everyone said, as long as that person knows you are there, they have to make decisions for themselves, and when they do, atleast they will know which true friend to go to. :) and yes, people can be stupid, but we love them anyway lol

pixierose - exactly, its just coming to a point where i just dont know and im exhuasted.. and i wanna slap em.. just becuase you have to move on, you cant base your whole life around this, it is not the way to live, yes its awful its tragic your heart hurts more than anything, but you keep moving forward.. harsh but its life... your here for a reason to exist and live.. why give up such a reason to waste life..sulking and being depressed... sorry its just.. i want them to be ok.. not for everyone else.. but for themselves.. there is so many beautiful things you miss when you are stuck in a state of depression..
but thank you so much for comenting, yes we do love them regardless..
funny how life is when it comes down to the power we have to love someone and care for them..

when my friends are doing bad things, i try to help them. but sometimes it doesn't work. i know how you feel. you do have a big heart. :>
