Exercising is so hard. I recently brought an elliptical machine for a good price. I had it for about 2 months and never used it. I brought it because I figured since I don’t have the time to go to the gym anymore I can workout at home. However, the funny thing is that because you are home, you become more lasy and refuse to work out. I think I look pretty good physically but internally and mentally I feel like crap. I love eating big-Macs and nuggets and I love to drink soda and I hate water. I like to eat junk and I know it’s bad for me. The hard part is that I am always on the run and when I get hungry I don’t have any idea on what to eat so I eat what is fast, convenient and good. I use to go to the gym all the time, but when you have a retarded school and work schedule it’s nearly impossible to squeeze exercising with, your personal life without losing sleep. Now I understand why people go to the gym and never workout at home. It’s because once you get home and you take your clothes off and turn on the TV..your ass is not going anywhere. I am trying to figure out a routine because by the year 2008 I want to start off new and fresh and start accomplishing my goals for the New Year. Everyone tells me what to do to lose weight and how to approach it. Then I have crazy friends who tell me take diet pills…does that even work??? I mean honestly I need a routine or someone to coach me on how to eat, when to eat and what to eat. This is all extremely hard. By next summer I want to be bikini ready!!!....what’s the real way to lose weight fast, eat healthy and look good??? People then say eat wheat bread, and then others say it’s no good. Then some people say salad and others say no salad because the dressing is fating. What the hell!!...please tell a regular woman what she has to do to lose weight and stay fit and healthy…any advice please post for me!!!...thanks!!

I'm on my own weight loss journey - you're welcome to tag along through my blogs. ;) I finally went to see a doctor about my weight issue - and he said it's all about finding a program that works in my life-style. Like you, I'm on the go a lot - and fast food was pretty much my staple. He did put me on a prescription appetite suppresant (Adipex-P), and it really has shut down the part of my body that craves junk food.
But - I also have to take responsibiltiy for being an emotional eater - and I've been learning to break my habits of turning to food for comfort. Breaking a food addiction is hard - but worth it in the long run.
I'm using a low-carb, high-protein approach, and it seems to be working. I also drink Satiatrim (you can find it on the web) and that helps me to feel full.
I totally feel ya' on the exercise thing, though. I've got a treadmill and a gazelle - and they're great for hanging clothes on. :) If you find a way to get motivated to exercise regularly, I'd sure love to know your secret!!

p. s. I re-read what you wrote.
And I would offer this suggestion - and have seen it work for myself and others through the years:
Cut back on your portion sizes. Start to omit eating between meals.
Yes - do eat salads but with low-fat - or non-fat dressings. Drink lots of water and learn to appreciate it.
And I have lots of other suggestions if you want any more. Hope that you continue to be motivated - adding prayers to your plans will get moving on your behalf also. We all need His daily help to succeed at anything.

note: That should have been,
"adding prayers to your plans will get God moving on your behalf also."
