When it comes to their beliefs ...
I don't go off and yell at someone for their beliefs. That's too much for me because that is an endless argument I don't want to be in.

But why is it that those who believe in God or such beings blame theirselves when things go wrong ? Things go wrong because they go wrong. Simple. It's not because God hates you or whatever you want to put into your heads, it's because things add up a certain way.
For example, say you apply for Harvard. You don't get it. Say you're Christian. You start to believe that God thinks you do not deserve such things.
No, you have it all wrong. You just expected too much. Sure, go ahead and tell me that the sky is the limit. But things fall through. It happens. Get over it and fix it why dontcha ?

I am expecting christians and believer to flood my blog with hate because I know if I had this argument face - to - face with a believer, they'd be pissed. Well, I've known some to be pissed at such things. Maybe they won't be. Great.

Goodbye all.

As a Christian, I can still find the value in every person having their own opinions and beliefs. I'm not one of those hardcore asshole Bible-thumpers. It's easy for people to say "It's my fault." or "It's because God hates me." or "It wasn't in God's will." and it's not because they're Christian. Everyone does it. It's just transferring the blame to someone else besides themselves. Like you said about Harvard ... maybe it's because your grades weren't good enough that ya wouldn't get in, but rather than just accept blame and improve, it's easier as humans to just blame some omnipotent being that will not strike them down for their transferral of blame/guilt.

Just a lil' insight.

Furthermore, I never blame God ... if shit sucks, it's usually my fault because I didn't handle up on a situation, relationship, or problem. It isn't because my faith faltered or because God let me down. It's my own issues and I've noone else to blame except myself.

I think you're exactly right. I'm christian and I agree with that 100%. I think that christians also have a tendancy to be self-righteous and are quick to find the blame in others before they dare look at themselves like they're wrong. We're biggits, we wont let anyone believe what they want if we have anything to say about it. I realized that when I drove one of my friends away with my christian babble, I have to let them believe what they want. It's against my religious duties not to help but then again it's a religious fact that God forgives most of our sins. I think that what you're saying is very accurate and I'm glad you didn't spaz out and go all biggited freak like other people who dont believe the same, just spewing out negative things to stir people up. This was actually sort of flattering but we believe that everything is inevitable, that there is some devine plan behind everything and it cant be helped. May God's will be done. But I do often think that some things are my fault when really it's just reality.
