For All my Thoughts Friends.
Friends
Friends are folk who, steadfast and true
fearlessly stand the corner with you
They’re a very rare breed it has to be said
Loyal and kind they won’t mess with your head
They’ll listen with compassion to all that you say
And offer their help in a supportive way
Then in return you’ll show them the same
Helping them see the love not the blame
Friendship is comfort, and when the chips are down
A friend is someone who’ll always come round
To sit with you and bring you a laugh
When you can’t for the wood nor the trees, see a path
They’ll keep your private thoughts to themselves
And not share your pain with anyone else
They realise the value of friendship so true
And won’t set your other friends against you
The sharing of hearts is a sacred thing
To betray another’s heart is a sad lonely sin
So do I have friends? Yes I have one or two
And one of those is most certainly YOU!

I did write this some while back when the forums were getting a bit ummm.. 'Lively' lol I posted it on the writing section, but thought it'd be very apt here, where it belongs.
