 Precious Moments
To keep myself focused on the positive, I drafted a list of "precious" moments.  Some of these "moments" can turn an otherwise "ho-hum" day into "The Best Day Ever".  Others, although not nearly as monumental, can make you sigh in contentment while you appreciate the moment.

Feel free to add your own precious moments to my list:

Skipping breakfast before a day of shopping so that you feel skinny trying on clothes, and then treating yourself to a late lunch while surrounded by bags containing all of your new purchases

Finally getting your turn in the bathroom after waiting on a long line with your legs crossed in pain from holding it in.

Fearing that you were being blown off and coming home to a message from "him" confirming that your fears were without merit.

Walking the streets of Manhattan in uncomfortably high heels and coming home, taking off said heels and soaking your feet in a hot bath.

Coming in from the cold and snuggling under a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Getting into bed after a long, exhausting day.

Waking up at 5:30AM and remembering it is Saturday.

Waking up next to the person you love.

Panicking over a lost wallet and finding it under the seat of your car.

Taking that first swig from a bottle of cold beer on a hot summer day.

Witnessing your favorite baseball team come back from a losing game at the bottom of the ninth to win.

Seeing the beaming faces of your friends and family as you walk into the surprise party they threw in your honor.

Reading the acceptance letter from the college of your choice

Holding your baby for the first time

Hearing the man/woman you love tell you he/she loves you.

Finally sleeping with your "lust" man/woman and finding out that it was better than you ever imagined.

Jumping into the cold water of a swimming pool after soaking in a hot tub.

Soaking in a hot tub after engaging in a snow ball fight outside in the cold.

Sprinting across the finish line at the end of a long, grueling run.

Hosting Thanksgiving dinner at your house and admiring your spotless kitchen after the guests have left and you are finished cleaning.

Showering with your boyfriend and getting dirty all over again.

Running late and still making your train.

Finally feeling better after a long bout of the flu.

Witnessing a man on the subway give up his seat for an elderly woman.

Drinking a glass of wine after a long day at work.

Pouring your heart out in a blog and reading the encouraging comments from fellow bloggers and new friends!

I'm here to read and write, not fight -so I will just laugh and not take offence! Trust me, I take a lot of abuse for loving the Yankees!

Good ones, I like blue's and I'll add one - having your friend come to your rescue when your boyfriend's truck leaves you stranded at a now closed mall.

One more - having the person you love by your side babying you when you are sick.

Blue - I did that once to my grandma. It didn't feel as good as I thought it would. (Just kidding! I just read your last post...)

Busting with pride when strangers tell you how wonderful your kids are ... knowing you've done something right and you did it all by yourself.

Feeling like a giddy 16 year old when the voice on the other end of the line is the man of your dreams.
