Things are still good with Camera Guy, although I haven't seen him since we went to the museum last Saturday. He's a photographer and had to work all of last weekend. We made plans for this coming Saturday and, in the meantime, have been keeping in contact via email and phone. I am not really a phone person and, unless I haven't spoken to someone in a really long time, prefer to keep my telephone conversations short - 15 to 20 minutes - just to say a quick hello, report any new developments in our respective lives and make plans to get together. (I have come a long way since falling asleep while talking to my "boyfriends" in Junior High.) Anyway, Camera Guy is a talker and I was afraid the "phone thing" would be a point of contention for us but so far, it is ok. I did tell him that I don't "give the best phone" and that, if I am less than fascinating during a telephone conversation, it's not a reflection on my interest in him. He thanked me for the warning, and said that he loves my voice and that I have been anything but boring on the phone so far. We actually talked for close to an hour on Sunday night and I didn't find myself half listening to him while staring at my muted television set trying to read the lips of the characters on the show I had been watching before the phone rang. That's a good sign. And, as we said our goodbyes, he called me "honey" and I loved it. The last guy who called me honey was so phony about it and it squeeved me. He would call me "darling" and I would cringe inwardly. It just sounded "right" coming from Camera Guy. I also think he might be making an effort to be on top of the baseball world as he sent me a text yesterday that he was sorry the Yankees opening game was rained out. I was pretty disappointed about the postponement as I had dressed for the occasion in a Yankee baseball cap and t-shirt and a pair of sneakers and I actually went to a sports bar at lunch to watch part of the game. FOR NOTHING. (In case you were wondering, OF COURSE I also wore pants...)
Anyway, I think the time apart made me realize how much I do like him and I am really looking forward to seeing him again. I still have no interest in talking on the phone every night though! At least not at this stage... More good news - no panic attacks of late, but then again, that might be because I haven't seen him!
No new developments with my Dad. He was a scum bag yesterday and I imagine he is still a scum bag.
To keep myself focused on the positive, I drafted a list of "precious" moments. Moments (some little and some big) that can turn a gray sky blue and a frown upside down! I have posted it separately and I hope you like it.

bullseye - Thanks for the positive comment despite disagreeing with my baseball team of choice - that's sportsmanship, my friend!
Pitapie - thank you! By the way, I put the "precious moments" into a separate post (I thought it was "too much" for one post - don't be alarmed if you come back to add your own and they are no longer here!)

Awwww. I totally understand your inward cringing to insincere pet names...a girl just KNOWS when it's genuine and when it isn't. It feels right from some, others just need to...STOPPPPPP! I'm so excited for you and Camera Guy. He sounds sweet.
Good to know that you wore pants to the sports bar...haha!
