 Bad Dayz

I won't go back 42 years, but boy could I tell you some stories! Just back to yesterday.  I had to go to Lucille's.  I'm already sweating bullets about being late, but boy can that woman yell for being 85 years old!  I get to Lutheran Parkway and the road is closed!  No warnings, just a barrier and one motorcycle cop.  I whipped a U and came back to Wadsworth and up to 38th and then out to Youngfield.  I was only a few minutes late and Lucille wasn't mad so all was ok.  We had a pretty decent day.  Sat at the kitchen table til about 11 am then she wanted to move to her lounge chair and watch some tv.  "There's always the food channel."  Lunch time came and I had to move her back to the kitchen table.  All this moving her around is not an easy task.  She's 185 pounds and with my lupus, fibro and all my spinal problems, it can be wrenching on my body.
Anyway, I dug in her fridge looking for something for us to eat.  She seems to never have much in the way of food there, so I bring my own as often as I can.  I found pieces of a chicken in the fridge, so made her a sandwich, chopping up the chicken pretty tiny, so it would be easier for her to eat.  You have to learn to be inovated when you are taking care of someone with Parkinson's Disease.  I brought my leftover honey bar-b-que wings-heaven!  Its not that I wouldn't share, its just that her daughter, the princess of Italy, won't allow us to bring food in, does she think we are going to kill Lucille with rotten food?
We watched the game, amazing in itself, neither of us are particularly interested in football, but I think all of Denver is keeping its eyeballs on J. Cutler-the Broncos new first string QB. Uneventful dinner.
In the evening, we watched "Ray" excellent movie about Ray Charles.
Got up, at about 7:30, fed Lucille and did my "chores".  When Pam, my relief got there this morning, Lucille magically stopped talking to me and stared straight ahead at the TV.  She is supposed to me angry with me, but there seems to be a switch to flip and Whammy! Hate or Love-the only options.  I'm always happy to leave there cause I stop at  Starbucks for my triple shot venti-latte.  But I was PARTICULLY happy to leave today.
I just can't comprehend how an 85 yr old woman can play such stupid games.  Jr. High alright!
Carla and I have been together for over 6 years.  Is there something wrong when one dreads going home to their "significant other"?  I actually broke up with her and moved downstairs some time ago.  She seems to think we are still together.  She's how I managed to lose most of my friends and family.  She is a terrible alcoholic.  I can't tell you how many times I've had to call an ambulance or she's been taken to detox over the last 6 years.  Disabled Vet!  The only thing wrong with her is that she is a drunk.  Almost 49 and shes lives the life of a 20 year old.  I sure didn't think I woulld end up living my life like THIS at 42!  She is at the VA hospital this afternoon for another appt-BTW she is also a hypocondriac.  I took a nap and decided to start a blog, at the very least, just a reason to vent.  My friends cut me off cause their tired of me complaining, but I have no  money to move.  She took all my equity out after she bought my sister's half, so there is nothing left.  And I'm paying half the mortgage!  This house was left to my sister and I when our mother died.  It's the house we grew up in and she kept it for 16 years after my dad died so my sister and I would have something.  I feel horrible about all of this, but live and  learn I guess.  I have to sign off now.  I could sit and type all day, but my ex-partner(?) will be home soon and this is none of her business.
