So my son is in job search mode right now. He has gone to several staffing agencies and each and every one of them "offer promises" of employment and a few days later nothing becomes of the promises. So my son is young and I guess people "assume" that because he is young that he is dumb. The most recent agency that my son went to was a total rip off. One my son forgot his resume when he went to the initial appointment (his mistake and he acknowledge this) only to be "grilled" by some moron that works at the agency. This prick had the NERVE to question my son and tell him, how do I know that you didn't make up those jobs on your resume? How I do know you even know how to operate a forklift? Just the audacity of him!!! Who in the hell does he think he is?? Why would someone want to embarass them selves by making shit up on their resume? Had my son told me this the day this had actually happened, I personally would have called down there myself to that office and let that man have it! He does not have to right to treat people like that! I believe that he was extremely unprofessional and had it been an older person that had forgotten their resume, I don't think he would have talked to them in that manner.
So, this person found my son a "temp" job and so my son shows up for work and come to find out the job is a diaster. My son is a warehouse worker and the job he was sent to was just total chaos. They were was no one giving out directions and basically the three temps that had come in at the same time stood around for eight hours and did nothing. So after my son finished his eight hour shift he calls the "man" at the office to explain to him how the day had went and that he was not happpy w/the way things were at that job site. So the "man" proceeds to ask my son, what would you like me to do? So my son literally had to tell him can you please find me another job and this prick told him, "we'll see". I don't quite understand how people are allowed to keep jobs treating people the way they do.
My son has been w/out work for two weeks now and has been diligently searching with no luck. So we figured the next best thing would be for him to go through a staffing agency. You would think that "they" (staffing agencies) would be in the business to help people look for work, but I guess not. My son is aware that any job he "gets" he should be greatful and nine times of ten he is, but there is also a limit on what people have to take from others. Why do people have to be morons? Why can't you be in business to actually help others?? Although my son is young, he knows that he has to work and is sincerely looking for that job, but it becomes difficult when all kind of obstacles are put in your way. I know that what I just wrote doesn't make much sense, but it does to me and it allows me to get things off of my chest for a brief moment.

I'm with ya'. Customer Service/Human Relations has taken a dive. Tell your son to hang in there!! He'll have to weed through the bad stuff to get to the good stuff. Good luck to him!
