Do you guys ever feel like your life is... bland? Like you're not doing anything exceptional, so therefore you're wasting it?
Turns out one of the girls I met through community theater my senior year of highschool, Miss Admire, made it on to the next round of American Idol. (Congrats, btw!) It's great for her, but somehow it makes me feel like I am wasting my time. It hits harder when it hits closer... I know I'm not REALLY wasting my time-I mean, I'm going to college and meeting a lot of amazing people and getting to know my savior even better and working and learning and having a great time. But I'm not exceptional anymore-lots of people are doing the same thing. And lots of people are doing even more. That's new to me-I was always the top of the top in highschool-but now that I'm at a big university things are different. It's not bad, I guess... but it's hitting a little harder than I thought... |
