I've been going over your posts and to be honest I'm a bit worried about you. I see that you have had problems with food, and it's great that you want to get over that and be healthy for your new life in college. I think you should see a doctor or nutritionist to get started on a plan though. Just cutting calories down to 500 is very unhealthy. An average 18 year old girl needs about 1800-2000 calories per day, and you can do this and loose weight. I have found that the best way to keep from binging and to loose weight is to eat throughout the day. It is harder to focus on healthier items, but eating veggies and fruits, and whole grains really is better than a small amount of junk. It's really not putting fuel into your "tank", and you probably wake up feeling less tired on the days where you have eaten more substantial amounts. I had trouble with binging on junk, and when I recently began trying to loose some weight that I had gained, I found that eating 4-5 small meals a day really helps (every few hours have a healthy snack, and for the normal breakfast, lunch, dinner parts, have a little more...and yes eat breakfast. I NEVER did, but once I started, even something small like fruit I felt great!) I found I wasn't as hungry and less likely to binge (so different from nothing all day and then just going crazy at night). Throw in some exercise and you have a healthy life plan, not a diet really. But really, talking to a dr/nutritionist can get you started on a realistic goal, and you can share any feelings or fears you have with them as well. Sorry its so long, I can get a little "talkative" at times.
