| Our Proposal |
Hey there, thank you for reading my Blog on thoughts.com. My name is Matthew Fawson and I'm a Student at the University of Derby that studies Popular music with music technology. For one of our modules entilted "Professional practise" we have to participate in extra curricular activities in which we can do various tasks or projects that we have the option of choosing between.
My proposal is to work on songwriting skills within my band "Last impressions" as well as get more gigs around Derby and beyond and to also play in more Music friendly venues. We are also considering recording a four or five track band EP at the beginning of 2010. Our band was formed in early May last year and have been writing songs, playing and practising ever since. The other members in the band consist of George Golding on Bass, Dan Gerrey on Drums, Billy Cole on Keyboard/Piano, Matt Fawson & Dan Flak on Guitars and Jowad Khalayeh on vocals. We often seen around Ryans bar on a Sunday for the Jam night and occasionally on wednesdays for the open-mic night. We have set up a myspace page of our band as well as posting a couple of live performance videos on youtube.
