In these situations it is often a matter of maturity, necessity as well as a factor of co-dependence. Many of us become reliant and find sanctity in monogamous relationships. While this may offer a certain refuge and may pacify certain emotions & thoughts; the fact of the matter lies in whether or not it is practical to be so involved.
