it was early in the morning when I awoke with still sleep in my eyes.
I wondered if I was dreaming, if I was still in paradise.
a steward approached me and said most frightfully “would you please follow me, sir”.
I said “I wish I could but I won’t because you are not her over there to stir”.
he said “hey man, what are you talking about, can’t you see.
we are about to crash at any moment, then it’s all over with you and me”.
I said “life jackets are useless, we need skies as far as my eyes can see.
the snow covered mountains and the weather make it possibly.
a plane should be equipped like a sport store and renamed to a flying alpine hut.
a ski run at the end of a journey by air was the highlight for my gut”.
he said “hey man, what are you talking about, can’t you see.
we are about to crash at any moment, then it’s all over with you and me”.
some months later I found myself in plaster in an infirmary.
a nurse by my side told me what happened to me.
I looked at him and asked in search of answers to have the absolutely certainty.
“what happened to all the other air passengers who were traveling with me”.
it was late in the evening when I woke up with sirens in my ears.
I wondered if I was in danger, if I had to stand fears.
a steward was running up and down the corridor when I got and stopped him to ask.
I said “could you please tell me why everybody is wearing an oxygen mask”.
he said “hey man, what are you talking about, can’t you see.
we are about to crash at any moment, then it’s all over with you and me”.
everybody knows hell is here on earth, heaven beyond the horizon.
whoever is wearing an oxygen mask is breathing poison.
whatever they may say to heaven, I can’t imagine there is lack of air in paradise.
if anyone ever breathes me I have lost my sight I will rub my weary eyes.
