Wow, that had to be one of the biggest turd storms that I have ever seen in my life.  I mean first off, the story line was terrible and the acting was the icing on that terrible pie.  I never thought I could see batman do a cheap ripoff of batman but there it was for over 2 hours of cinema MAGIC.  Then if it didn't get any worse it seemed that it was incredibly easy for Connor to break into Skynet at the end (are there only like 3 terminators guarding the entire place?) and then to have an hour long fight with a robot that instead of crushing his head in 1 SECOND spent the entire last part of the movie throwing him around a factor because robots have fun like that?  Yeah that movie was just as bad as T3 and even mo annoyingly written.  Don't see it in cineplex, don't rent it.  It is a complete waste of time.

In just a few hours I will be one of the many that is going to see Star Trek on opening night and bask in the glory of this series returning to its former fame.  I am very excited because I really respect JJ Abrams and I think he will do the series of movies and TV shows honor with this film.  Am I right?  Well time will tell, but all the reviewers are already saying that it is one of the best sci-fi films of all time so I think its got a fighting chance of being pretty darn good!

I gotta say that I am really ready for the summer movie season and to let Wolverine Origins be that special movie that pops my summer flicks cherry.  It looks like a return to form for the X-Men series and I got to say that the PR biltz that Jackman has been doing it actually interesting as opposed to the normal boring bullshit.  So I will donate to the movies gods on this one and report back on monday as to the awesomeness or suckiness of the film

For those trekkies out there that were planning to see this movie by waiting in line the night of the 7th to see it at 12:01am on the 8th you are going to be missing out.  For some reason, even though the movie officially opens on the 8th they are doing normal night time showings of the film on the 7th starting at 7pm on the West Coast and maybe even earlier on the East Coast.  This is kind of cool because it doesn't mean I need to stay up really late to be one of the first people to see the movie, but it is also kind of strage.  I wonder if this is one of JJ Abrams stunts to get people to go see the movie early or something like that, or maybe some way of crushing opening day box offfice sales.  Who knows.  One thing I will miss about the opening midnight showing is that it usually weeded out the non-professional movie goers that would ruin the first viewing of an epic film.  It was only the hardcore people that got the inside jokes and enjoy the movie so much as to not talk throughout.  I am sure there are going to be a lot of high schoolers at the upcoming 7pm showing...let's hope they don't ruin it.]]>

So the CEO of Blockbuster was recently quoted as saying that the reason Blockbuster isn't doing well right now is because of "...the quality of movies today."  Really?  That is why Blockbuster sucks?  I am pretty sure it sucks because they are way overpriced and their DVD service is not nearly as good as that of Netflix's.  They just focus on the bottom line and forget to provide something that is good for the customer.  So yeah, Blockbuster does suck and yeah some movies do suck, but Blockbuster is suffering because of their own bull crap not just the state of movies coming out today.  I mean if they think movie are so bad why don't they carry just independent movies?]]>

So apparently Heath Ledger's last film is having a hard time securing a US distrubution partner.  First off I think this is incredible because it would seem like everyone would want to see the last movie of an incredible actor.  But it is also sad.  I think that someone should pick it up just to honor the memory of Heath and let people share the brillance of his acting once again.  It is sad to think that there will be few as talented as him in the future and that his light is no longer buring for us to see.]]>
