Anesiva Inc.
With their company slogan “Changing the face of pain”, Anesiva is one of the leaders in pain management products. The company is mainly involved in the development and commercialization pharmaceutical products for pain management. The company started with the merger between AlgoRx Pharmaceuticals Inc and Corgentech Inc. AlgoRx is a company involved commercializing pharmaceutical products for pain management. Corgentech on the other hand is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development and commercialization of novel therapeutics for significant unmet medical needs. In June 21, 2006 Corgentech has been changed to Anesiva. The name change was made to boost the company’s dedication to pain therapeutics. The company is based in South San Francisco, California.
ZingoTM is one of the company products available in the market today. Zingo is a fast-acting local anesthetic it is made of microcrystals of lidocaine delivered into the skin by compressed gas. The product is for children three to 18 years old with moderate to severe pain.
AdleaTM is a product intended for management of acute pain following orthopedic surgeries. The company is investing more money to finance the enhancement of this product.
Zingo is the main earner for Anesiva as of today and it is doing well in its target market. Adlea is still in the testing stage, no revenue for this product yet. Stock prices for Anesiva is low in the stock market today and maybe the lowest in their history. The company still has good finances and its market low might always be temporary. Hold will is a good choice for the company as of the moment but then again you may also check out other stock trading software and stock market software for accurate data.

b.) Difference from its competitors
- In delivering their products, ACT Inc. does it in a fashionable technique: build-direct-to-inventory. In this process, the products are directly and immediately build without delay and are immediately forwarded to their inventory for delivery. Thru this process, the product that the customer ordered would instantly arrive within a week, nothing more or nothing less than its schedule. Simply put, make then deliver immediately. Unlike any company that takes their product to be delivered in months, ACT Inc. promises it to be delivered according to the contract of the buyer and the seller. c.) Recommendations
- Unfortunately, I still haven’t tried any of their products listed in their site, but hopefully one day I will have the chance to experience any of its product even if it’s just a little of what the company has to offer. For anyone who has tried it, we would like you to extend your experiences regarding the ACT Inc. product and describe to us whether it has proven satisfactory for you, or simply the other way around.

General Electric Co.
The General Electric Company started out as a laboratory in Menlo Park, New Jersey in 1876. The head of this laboratory is none other than the Ohio-born Thomas Edison and out of this came one of the most well-known invention which is the incandescent electric lamp. More than a decade later, Edison had already integrated all his businesses under the Edison General Electric Company.
Meanwhile, Edwin J. Houston and Elihu Thomson had formed a rival company known as Thomson-Houston Electric Company. This company merged with several other companies and was headed later by Charles A. Coffin, a native of Lynn, Massachusetts and former shoe manufacturer. This company will eventually merge with Thomas Edison’s General Electric Company through the efforts of financier J.P. Morgan in 1892. The newly merged General Electric Company had its first headquarters in Schenectady, New York. In 1896, General Electric became one of the original 12 companies which were listed on the then newly-formed Dow Jones Industrial Average and has remained even after more than 100 years. Today, from the 12 original companies only the General Electric Company has remained in the Dow Jones Industrial Average although this has not always been consistent.
Through outs General Electric’s entire history and existence it has also faced criminal cases related to its defense operations. In fact, GE was judged guilty of defrauding the US Department of Defense in 1990 and once again it was charged based on corrupt policies involving the sale of jet engines to Israel two years later.
