This weekend was supposed to be wondrous! I was gonna do some shopping, go support the local humane society, go on a date with a cute boy & watch my two favorite teams win. Well, that’s not what happened at all…

Saturday: This was the day when most of the fun was to occur – shopping, support & date. What a great day, right? Well, I’m running errands before I head to my parents’ to go shopping with my mom. I turn left onto a bridge, hit some ice, lose control of my vehicle & hit the side of a bridge. Luckily, nobody was coming in the opposite lane cuz I was spread across both lanes. I drove it to the end of the bridge so I would be out of the way & did anyone stop that witnessed the accident? No! Stuck up, selfish bastards! My bumper is done, the right fender is all messed up, the wheel well is cracked & the alignment is terrible! It’s in the shop right now & hopefully the alignment is the only thing wrong with it…the rest I can drive with for the time being. So, now that I can’t drive the vehicle (stern words from the stepfather), I have to cancel my date. Last thing that I wanted to do. Well, then my mom gets a phone call from one of my cousins on my dad’s side letting us know that my grandpa passed away. I really wanted to wake up & start that day all over again!

Sunday: Got to watch my Patriots win against the Chargers. Thank God! So, I was optimistic that the Packers would win against the Giants. All they had to do was get to Eli Manning & get him all messed up but could they do that – NO! & why they didn’t send help to Al Harris for Plexico Whatever-His-Last-Name-Was, I have no idea! Drive me nuts! Oh well, no matter who went to the SuperBowl was going to be beat by the Patriots anyway.

However, there was some silver lining on the weekend – my accident could have been a lot worse. I’m okay & my vehicle isn’t too bad. My grandpa was given four days to live…about ten years ago. He died at the age of ninety-three & went peacefully. Rest in peace, Grandpa Phil!
