Well, the first snowfall has happened here in good ol’ Wisconsin. Now, it is time for me to rant. I hate snow, I hate snow, I hate snow. Not only is it difficult to drive in but it’s cold, wet, it gets slushy & dirty. I just hate it. I know, then why am I living in Wisconsin…let me tell ya, if it wasn’t for my family, I would be outta here & going down south to one of the Carolinas, Tennessee or Kentucky. There, if they get snow, it’s very little. I don’t even need snow for me to feel the Christmas spirit. I hate snow!
Lets visit my daily activities during this first snowfall, shall we? Well, I was going work my brother who accumulated the 2,000 text messages but that didn’t work well cuz my mom didn’t want me driving once the snow began. Then I’m stuck in the house all day, not that I have money to do any shopping but I had a little bit to do some Christmas shopping. So, what did I do - I sat & watched many, many episodes of That 70’s Show. At about 4:30, I go warm up the 4WD sleigh to head over to my co-worker’s house (Robyn, one that I actually like). I offered to sit with her kids while she & her husband went for supper & Christmas shopping. Well, we eventually go outside because this family are Snow Bunnies & they love the snow. I don’t understand. What’s the fun of dressing in many, many layers to go out & play in the cold, wet snow? Not only am I being weighed down by the massive boots that I'm wearing but I’m being belted in the face by the sleet that is now falling instead of snow. I finally convince the kids to go inside. Fast forward a little bit - I’m about to venture home, I begin to back out of their driveway & get stuck! Thank God they have a reliable, strong Chevy Silverado - it pulled my Tracker outta the snow like how I would pull a bandaid off. Luckily before they got home they decided to stop by my place & flatten out the huge mound of snow at the end of my driveway, otherwise, this gal would have not made it in.
I hate snow! Grrr. I’m sure this rant will be continued until Springtime. I hope yall are ready.
