She rolls over thankful for the new day
He, however, is still in yesterday
She hopes that he will forgive
He screams that she should leave him
She cries like she hasn’t in years
He runs out the door without a goodbye
She thinks about the date & what it means
He keeps playing the night before in his head
She wants to be loved on this day
He wants to be alone to sulk
What is today
Today is their anniversary
Ten years together
It should be a happy day
But she is crying
& he is angry
Happy anniversary.
This poem is for Whitters. I thought that the subject of her newest blog was poem worthy & then when I read her post, I just went with it. Whitters, I hope that you and your hubby get it worked out & are able to enjoy your anniversary. *hugs*
