I HATE BEING SINGLE THIS TIME OF YEAR! Just wanted to get that out. I am the only single person at my place of employment, so that puts me in a category all by myself. Rhino just informed me that he could not find me a date for the Christmas party. I am irate! I know that I should do the “independent girl thing” & just go by myself but that would just single me out even more in my group of co-workers…literally. I know someone will be all like “Oh, if you go by yourself, you may meet someone”. Nope, that won’t happen cuz we get our own special area away from the rest of the party to eat & drink (sometimes it really sucks working for a bunch of stuck up attorneys!). I’m usually a very strong person but right now I just wanna go home, cry my eyes out & listen to Fleetwood Mac (that’s what I listen to when I’m in one of these moods). I don’t need a guy to keep me happy, really I don’t. I’ve been single for quite awhile (a few sporadic dates but nothing serious). I just hate being the odd person out & that’s totally what I feel like this time of year when I don’t have someone. God, this sucks!
Ladie, maybe I will move down to Aqua Village...there may be some eligible bachelors down there…

if it makes you feel bad to go to this party then just don't go.find something else to do that you enjoy.

Ask a good guy friend to go with you! Tell him it's open bar! (If it is..) Not many people can turn down a free meal :)

Mandy...I totally have a solution for you! You should SOOOOOO take ladie! LOL, people would talk (oh my god, are they a couple?)LMAO, and you guys could totally make fun of everyone all night long! That would be awesome, if I lived by you I would go...I would totally dress like a dyke, it would be funnier than hell!

ok, call me 'sillystickman' if you want - but what does being single have to do with going to a party? you go, mingle, chat, have something to eat and drink, enjoy yourself and then you leave....
what can be so bad about that?

I was in a similar situation at my disasterous Xmas office party: I was the only one without kids and I couldn't even bring my hubby cos he was working :(
You could always rent an escort ;)....
