 Question of The Day
Imagine my suprise to log on and discover I've been handed the baton...

*whew*

I'm quite honored to follow in suit of the great minds of Anotherdaze, Hollis, Easy2Say, KP, Angelwings, Long, TonyRayHutchison, SpiritualComa, PixieRose, Smileforthecamera, GeordieDreamer, WhiteKnight, Meredith, Prelude2it, and Bullseye.

For the question of the day  *drum roll please*

Mine is also 2 double parter....

1.  What do you feel is your greatest personal achievement thus far?

&

2.  If there were no such thing as "failure"  what is the one thing you would do?

For tomorrow question of the day I pass the baton onto  Douglas!!!!!

Sorry it's a bit late, I didn't log on the computer yesterday!!!  :)

Wow heavy question... I have done alot of things... I really do not know. I am not going to list my top 3 just because, I did that one time in another place and people started in on my like I had a big head or wanted to challange me with questions as if I was telling stories, so these I will keep to myself. But one simple thing I can say would be getting the job that I have.

If there was not such thing as failure, man that is another hard question... two things, fall in love, and the iron man. I failed my first attempt at a smaller triathlon a couple years ago. I am going to attempt another one, I hate not finishing something.

Absolutely my beautiful children...... and then surviving with dignity the past 12 months.

No failure - hmmm PHOTOGRAPHY would be my thing .... followed closely by writing, or maybe I could combine the two! Yep, no chance of failing I'd do both in conjunction :)

1. I am proud to say that everything I have, I have gotten on my own – no help of a man. I have a house, a decent vehicle (tin can on wheels), nice things & get to do may things. I am proud to do it on my own…of course, I have had a little help on the way from my grandparents but always paid them back (I currently owe them nothing – yippee!).

2. If there was no such thing as failure – I would pick up & move. I SO badly want to get out of this town & move more North of where I am now or down by Jessica…but I do enjoy my job & while I have one, I want to keep it. Plus, I don’t want to move too far away from my grandparents, I love them to death & I don’t think that I could handle not seeing them whenever I want.

Hmmm…I think that I went a little off track with #2. Ha!

Stanley is my greatest personal achievement thus far, but also getting accepted to university. Since I actively took steps to change what I didnt like in my life, I have found I have achieved alot.
If I couldnt fail...I'd lose some weight or play the lottery on a roll over night (I would succeed and win!)

My greatest achievement is my son getting to where he is in life. If you told me he is driving, working not one but two jobs, even considering college and all that 6 years ago I tell you to get a mental exam.

No failure:I divorce my wife
on a happier note I get a second buisness off the ground more than I have

My greatest achievement is probably taking care of myself with no help from anyone else and securing quite a decent nest egg. I am also proud of myself for some risks I have taken in the past few years with respect to matters of the heart.

If there was no such thing as failure, I would quit my job and spend my time writing my book.

My greatest achievement: being a dad to my really cool daughter. that's more luck/blessing than anything i can say i "achieved" i s'pose.

as far as things i can take credit for, i would say passing the bar examination and graduating from undergrad with honors and from the honors college.

other than that stuff, i'm a work in progress.

My acheivements have been.... coming out the better side of a not so great childhood. Having my two children end up to "good people" feeling for others in this world and a good long work out for making my relationship with my dream man much better than what I lived with as examples in that department.

If there was no failure I'd find a way to make EVERYONE honor the golden rule in life! So much pain would end!

My greatest achievements would be developing strong personal relationships with friends that have become like family.

If failure were not a possibility, I would open my own advertising company.

My greatest achievement is a no brainer....my kids and gkids.
No failure?.....Move away somewhere far...and start over.

My greatest acheivement is double-sided. My daughter of course, but a close second would be getting clean from drugs.

If I could do anything and not fail, I would probably go sing.....American Idol here I come!!!

Douglas...suck it up at least you know!!! lol

Best achievement: Going against what everyone thought I should do and obeying what I feel inside.

No Failure: Go to law school.

Greatest accomplishment: Emerging from several very painful and dark experiences better ... not bitter. The pain and heartache allowing me to grow into a more compassionate, tender, non-judgmental human being.

If I couldn't fail I would pack my bags, leave my current life and move to either Colorado or Arizona where I would make my living as a small shop owner. My store would sell organic products, home baked cookies, (fulfilling my dream of turning my love of baking into a business) chocolate, stationary, candles and greeting cards. Not the Hallmark variety, but cards containing sentiments (written by me) that speak of "real" feelings and life situations.

I would definitely write a book ... inspirational, uplifting and positive in nature. Most likely something geared towards the self esteem issues women struggle with. Many of the small articles I have already written would be included.

I would also create a web (friendship) site where people could find lasting friendships. The site would be designed in such a way that each visitor would come away feeling uplifted and loved. There would be a positive quote of the day and beautiful photography scattered about. Each State or part of the world would be neatly categorized, making it easy to locate people nearby. Meet and greets would be organized and held often at local coffee houses or parks giving those, who desired, an opportunity to get to know each other in the real world. I often wonder if I'm the only one who finds themselves without one true friend in the real world.

Greatest Achievement: Not following the "family legacy" (on dad's side). AKA: being a single parent and drug dealer/addict.

No Failure: Quit my job (search), buy a barn & some land, open an animal rescue.

The easy answer, raising four children.
While going to school, and helping to run a difficult business.
I would utilise every resource available to end world hunger. Now. Hydroponics, off shore farms, desalination of ocean water, solar powers to run it. Relocations, removal of greedy Generals or warlords, whatever it takes.

Raising my children to be responsible adults.
If there could be no fauilure. I would utilise the power of the oceans tides and waves to produce clean, endlessly renewable power. It can be done, should be done, wouldn't be harder than digging the 'chunnel' or going to the moon. Cheaper, even. And it could be brought hundreds of miles inland to power the world.Cleanly,economically.
I need to get a patent on my design.

1. My greatest personal achievement is graduating from University. I experienced a lot of turmoil during those four years, but somehow managed to still do it and be the first in my family to graduate univ.

2.I truly believe there is no such thing as failure. There is only FEAR of failure. It's fear that prevents us from doing what we really want in life. If I had more courage, I would take the long scholastic journey to become a naturopath.

1. Kids are the token answer so I'll skip it.

Realizing I didn't have to think and believe like the people around me did would be mine. So liberating.

2. No failure? Broad question. I feel silly even typing my answer but it would be to build a spaceship and visit other worlds. Ughhh I feel like a ten year old but I do love me some outer space.

freethinker - love that answer ... I personally would like to be a student at hogwarts, as a magic person, not a muggle! :)

no failure: yeah right!

"Oh crud... I just noticed you passed it to me lol all the good questions have been takken hahaha I better start brainstorming" --DouglasMB

--Hey! That's MY job:P

As for greatest achievements, I feel much yet unachieved. I have only begun. I can say I survived a nearly fatal bout with depression and panic attacks as well as travelled to Europe solo(though much was preplanned and secured).

If failure was not an option, end world hunger/the gap between rich and poor, end the need for war and create a better negotiation system, invent a device to allow for everyone to communicate with each other no matter their language, move to some breathtaking part of Europe or Asia where there is no worry of natural disaster and travel around the world as much as possible without harming the environment. [Im sure I have a few other ideas that might not be appropriate to share:P]

Greatest achievement is my kids of course...

No failure....Go to school and become a psylogist/psychiatrist

Easytosay, love yours as well. Being a graduate of Hogwarts would rock. But since that is fictional I don't think it apllies. Think of something crazy, we can't do know that could be possible.

Like turning you into a cyborg with super strength or something. I bet you have some great ideas.
