I never thought Friday would get here.
Princess more so than me...you see her birthday is Sunday and tomorrow we're having her party.
Now the catch is her party isn't until 4pm Saturday evening. Which works out perfectly for me cause that gives me just enough time to pick up the cake, drinks, ice for the cooler, and her balloons.
Now princess is not going to find this nearly as fascinating as I do. She will actually be quite annoyed at the fact that she has to wait around to open her presents (we all know that's what birthday's are about right?!?!)
The plus side is that she is having a friend spend the night tonight if all goes according to plan. So hopefully that will occupy her little mind....
here's hoping!!!!
This morning was wonderful ( I hope for your sake you can feel the sarcasm coming from the screen )
I overslept slightly which always makes for a fun morning. Especially when you just can't seem to make yourself move any faster than a sloth.
Got showered, forced Kaylie to get up.
For some reason it seemed to take me longer than ever to put makeup on. I know I look like dammit in the morning but not that damn bad...anyways I digress
SO after what seemed like hourse we finally get to the car.
We stopped at Kroger's to get cupcakes for KinderKare.
There we stand in line, I'm still half alseep due to lack of coffee and I happen to glance down at princess. She had moved her head just right so that I could see a bright red mark right next to her eye. No suprise really, she's like me, a clutz so I asked her what's wrong with her eye.
"I dunno"
I moved her hair back to find that the red spot was actually a rash down her cheek and over her entire eyelid.....poison ivy....
"Did you play outside yesterday?"
she nodded her head
"Were there trees?"
"Uh huh"
At this point I'm twitterpated....I'm highly allergic to poison ivy & I never in a million years would have ever guessed that she would be allergic to it too, especially at the age of 6...it's crazy.
My mom keeps telling me to calm down, but she's never had it, she doesn't understand.
If someone's mowing their yard, mows over it & the wind blows the right way, I'll get it.
Me & some friends had a bonfire one summer.....
I carried the logs (touched it)
Sat by the fire (Breathed the smoke)
Cooked hot dogs (ate it)
Lemme just tell you I was litterally covered from head to toe inside & out with posion ivy....when your colon itches...there's no freakin way to scratch it.
I couldn't take Princess to the doctor because Cathy's leaving half a day since she's working tomorrow so my mom's taking her...
I warned her that they may give her a shot but it would only hurt for a bit & she would only have to have one.........
Freakin poison ivy......what the hell?? |
