It's no suprise that I'm over this fucking wedding.
I've been over it for awhile now, and it all kinda came to a head last night.
#1 - I think it's crap that we had to buy our own bridesmaids dresses. Especially considering me and one of the other bridesmaids do not make alot of money.
#2 - I think it's crap that me and said bridesmaid were asked to bring food to the bridal shower, decorate, and then 2 weeks after party had happened, were asked to split the cost 4 ways. No bitch you owe me money for bringing food anyways.
#3 - Said bridesmaid and myself decided under our own free-will to shell out the cost for party favors for bachelorette party. Not because we had to, but because we thought it would be nice, and we wanted it to be fun.......
therein lies our mistake.
Now this bride has not been the easiest person to get along with. I can understand wanting everything to be just right...but she only gave it like 6 months from the time of the engagement to the time of the actual wedding. In my opinion to have everything "perfect" you need more time to plan.
Just my personal opinion.
I actually really hopes she reads this. She snooped around on myspace until she found my page then read my blog about what I really thought of her living situation with now fiancee. I do't give a shit at this point, I hope she reads it, and gets pissed off.
Anways, I got off topic slightly didn't I? Where was I?
Ah yes, bridezilla.
Seriously, the women on that show ain't got nothing on her. She actually is suffering from a psychological (or just psycho) disorder call Bride's Disorder. I swear it's real check it out.
Anyways, it's where she thinks everything should go her way all the time. And not just shit about this damn wedding. She thinks that if she calls and wants to do something that we should drop everything and cater to her every whim. If we don't she whines, goes crying to her mother about how we're awful friends and her mother (yes her mother) will call the other bridesmaid mentioned above and bitch her out.
Now why doesn't she call me? I'm convinced that entire family is scared of me cause they know I'm not putting up with any shit from anyone. I could give less of a damn that her wedding is coming up. Grow the fuck up, Princess acts better on her birthday, and you expect a kid to be rotten!
Anyways. Previously mentioned bridesmaid calls me yesterday.
Let me set the stage for you.
I got off work and sat in traffic at a dead standstill for 30 minutes all because I had to pick up my bridesmaid dress. Then I have to cram my fat ass into this itty-bitty dressing room with nothing more than a curtain for a door. I try it on, then it takes me another 15 minutes trying to get out of it.
Then comes my trek home. Traffic's a little better at this point. Not much, but a little.
I'm not in a very good because of waiting in standstill traffice for so long. Then my phone rings.
It's the other bridesmaid, she's so upset that I can barely understand her.
I find out that she spoke to bridezilla. She told bridezilla that her sister had called us and told us that she were responsible for the transportation from the bachelorette party. Let me just say that that's not gonna happen, I'm not paying for ANYONE'S cab ride home.
She told bridezilla that we couldn't afford it. Which is true and as I told the sister of the bride, Princess' brithday is next month, that far trumps anyone's wedding.
Well Bridezilla then went off on bridesmaid yelling about how she was "sick and tired of hearing people bitch about how much her fucking wedding cost, she didn't ask for any of it, and it's not her fault"
Excuse the fuck outta me? She then went on to say that she didn't even remember her bridal shower.
Well then you ungrateful selfish, childish bitch.
You can have your bachelorette party that YOU asked for and fuck yourself with it.
Me and said bridesmaid will be going out, but not to you stupid fucking bachelorette party that you don't even want. If we meet up then fine.....Go fuck yourself.
The killer part? After I was on the phone with her for an hour or more trying to calm her down (she's my best friend I'd go to the end of the world for her). Bridezilla calls her back and leaves a message acting like everything's fine and nothing just happened. She's such a bitch she doesn't even realize how bad she hurt her "friends" feelings!
It's on like Donkey Kong.......
I'm just a tantrum away from telling her to take her ugly fucking dress shove it up her ass, cause I'm not going to the wedding, and she just lost a friend!!!!!

Geez, I hope Bridezilla is planning on putting just as much thought into the marriage as she is the wedding......
BTW, you haven't mentioned it, but what does the bridesmaids' dress look like? Is it the typical hideous dress that makes everyone look like crap? I had a Bridezilla friend (and we are no longer friends, BTW) who purposely chose an ugly dress because she didn't want any of us to outdo her. It was a golden yellow with a HALTER top, gold mesh at the waist, and, prepare to wince, a huge, full gold skirt. There were 6 of us, we all looked like we ate the bride, we all looked washed out, and standing together, we looked like a box of Easter Peeps. I despise the girl now. So does her husband!!

Wow! Drama! That sucks that she is treating you guys that way! Out of all the weddings that I've stood up in, I've never had to pay for anything but the bridesmaid dress.
PS - I like Douglas' idea about the black mints. Ha, ha!

Blue - it's a light purple prom dress (strapless) that has a HUGE fake diamond thing on the back.
Douglas - I've seriously considered it!!

Sorry, but aren't bridesmaids meant to be those people closest to the bride who are great friends, laugh, chat, cry and share everything together? A bride should feel honoured that she has people who want to share her special day and everything that goes with it together with her!
How dare she treat you like shit!!!
I'd be telling her to pull her head in or find someone else.....or saunter up the aisle on her own!!!
You've been patient for long enough.....wouldn't you love to tell her just to shove it?! Best of luck to you :)

I can't fucking stand bridezillas! They act like they are the only people to ever get married and that nothing else in life matters except their own weddings. And I agree with Kaybee, when someone asks you to be a bridemaid, it's supposed to be because she loves you/considers you a best friend - to treat you so horribly is UNACCEPTABLE. Fuck her and the ugly purple bridemaid dress. This crap really pisses me off. I hate those brides who think the whole fucking world revolves around them. Who cares about the marriage? - it's all about the wedding, right? UGH. You poor thing - I always want someone on that show to tell the bride to shove it and find someone else to be a bridemaid/slave.

She sounds horrible! I don't get people like that. I was married and I barely had a shower and bachelorette party but I was grateful for what my friends did. It's what they could afford and I was happy to spend time with everybody.
The way she is treating you guys is just nasty! I don't get her and she doesn't deserve to have people that are willing to do all this if she can't even appreciate it. Good luck!

i think you bridesmaids should all show up with matching lasagna stains on your dresses. then have a fat, pasty hairy guy jump out of the wedding cake. and always, always paint their radiator on their car with limburger cheese. it is a delayed bomb, cuz it reeks most when the car is running hot. this post made me laugh my butt off. thank you
