 People are stupid
People are stupid, I only really noticed this the last month. (I am 15 so its not that I'm slow or anything)
Most People are just down right stupid, some more extremely so, but the greater portion of today's population (Probably wasn't much better in the past) are stupid to at least a certain degree.

Oh and yes, I am reffering to you. Yes you reading my thoughts. Well at least you probably are. I don't really know. Wanna check for yourself, if so then ask yourself this one simple question.

"Does this post offend you?"

If you answered 'yes', well then odds are you're at least slightly slow. If you answered 'no' well then odds have it that you probably arn't, and deep down kinda feel the same way (of course, you could just be perfectly comfortable about your known stupidity)

Now what is the cause of my ranting tyraid, what would put me up to insulting, more than half of thoughts.com's users on only my 2nd post?

I've simply had enough. People are gullible conformist's, fuelled by materialist goals, that they think they have to acomplish. They go about their lives thinking they're happy. (maybe bliss does lie in complete obliviouty to the world) They buy clothes with fancy brand names, to impress their friends, who are only impressed cause they've been taught to be.
who cares whats in fashion and whats not. How you do so I'll never know.

don't even get me started on religion, such a folowing, its almost scary. Let me just get this straight, you guys (christians) believe that : (I assume you're christian, if not most other religions are equally ridiculous)

a magic guy clapped his hand, created a man, then stole his rib to give to a girl who convinced him to take fruit from a talking snake which angered the magic guy, so angry that he later floods the earth, luckly a man builds a big ship that houses 2 of all species to repopulate the earth. time passes and magic guy continues to send people to hell. he then suddenly realises he doesn't know how to forgive so he does the only logical thing one can do in that situation. He sends his son to earth so that he may be tortured and sacrificed, cause somehow this lets mr magic guy forgive people. unfortunatly his sons death didn't make him less egocentric, so anyone that doesn't like him (or know him for that matter) is sent to suffer the worst fate imaginable for an eternity (thats a long time) But we must remember that he loves each of us ever so much.

thats it right? I hope I didn't skip any important parts. I have nothing against people believing in god, but the amount of arrogence required to believe that your religion is correct, when there are thousands more very different, is almost incomprehensible.

and yes I realise that a certain amount of arrogence is required, to make such claims, and thats kind of half hypocrytical, but it must be said and these are my thoughts which you are reading.
Oh and remember this is just how i PERCIEVE you people to be, its not necessarily fact (if you don't know what that means then enjoy church on sunday)

Well thats enough for now, be sure to look out for my articles in the future, where I'll probably offend you even more. remeber sheep are not people.

Fifteen huh? Not sure if the ranting and raving is due to a deep thinker who has a cynical mind or just an idiot. Religion like anything else is what you make of it, like everything else some will take it to the extremes and in the wrong direction, as those who will take an overall negative view of it, most will take it for it's intended purpose and be better people who make a better world for that. Some use it as a means to justify harm and destruction, history is full of that however overall it has saved mankind numerous times and made societies worthwhile and quality, history is full of that too. I suspect badmouthing it by those who obviously know nothing yet has something to do with self gradification or rationalization about their lack of wisdom. In anycase, deep thinker or not, fifteen is hardly an age where one has time to really experience life, all it's ups and downs and the whole relm of assholes in the world you'll have to deal with, assuming you're one who addresses real responsibilities or just pretends to do so but in reality all your life experiences, although many, may be all the same, just a repetition of the one before, ie, never really learn a damn thing or experience a damn thing. Bottom line, you're still a kid, male or female, first real revelation of wisdom is, realize that, you really don't know a damn thing yet, maybe never will, about religion, life, responsibility, who is wise and who isn't, who is trustworthy who isn't, what's a fad and what isn't, what is politically correst shit what isn't, who is a quality person with real courage and who isn't. Get that figured out now and you might become something. Good luck child.

hmmm... What to make of such a post. You are clearly old, and from what you've written here it would appear that you have som sort of elitist aura resonating along you being (I'm old therefore smarter than any kid attitude) Now I wouldn't say, that this is all that weird, its kinda normal among the near death mentality(I mean what do you have, if not belief ion your logic)

Now thats all well and fine, but to choose to challenge me with illogical arguments, gets on a nerve of mine. So because, I'm annoyed and have been slightly unproductive today, I'm going to reply to your responses with the best of my ability.

"Fifteen huh? Not sure if the ranting and raving is due to a deep thinker who has a cynical mind or just an idiot."

purely out of interest, what led you to believe that I might be an idiot, or was that statement made just as a childish stab. I hope its not the latter cause that would be very hypocritical of you.

"Religion like anything else is what you make of it"

exactly my feelings, which is why I posted a blog entry about it. What I wrote is exactly what I make of religion.

"...most will take it for it's intended purpose and be better people who make a better world for that."

because encouraging sexism, gets us really gets us going as a species no? (more examples if necessary.

"Some use it as a means to justify harm and destruction, history is full of that however overall it has saved mankind numerous times and made societies worthwhile and quality"

generally examples help make outrageous claims sound less outrageous.

"I suspect badmouthing it by those who obviously know nothing yet has something to do with self gradification or rationalization about their lack of wisdom."

oh so god doesn't send people to hell my mistake, and to think all these years I always thought of him as the meanest fucking antagonist ever. Oh also, this wisdom you talk of, I take it, you're referring to ones ability to believe everything in the bible. no?

"In anycase, deep thinker or not, fifteen is hardly an age..."

Oh I get it, you're saying because I'm not close enough to death I'm not alowed to take the experiences I've experienced and form an opinion from them. kinda sounds like hitlers regime. I hate nazis

*I'm now gonna make a checklist of all your supposed elements I must encounter before I may have an opinion

"it's ups and downs"

check, see post if you don't believe me
http://www.thoughts.com/index.php?_action=blog_view &id=161861&type=1

"and the whole relm of assholes in the world you'll have to deal with"

check, you're just one of many.(a rebuttal to the 'idiot' statement)

"assuming you're one who addresses real responsibilities"

define 'real' cause I address many responsibilities, but I'm sure all will fall short of your failing eye sight(I can be agest too right?)

"or just pretends to do so but in reality all your life experiences, although many, may be all the same, just a repetition of the one before"

all about perception, I look at all your outdoor escapades as more of the same. Just as I'm sure you'll look at my life in a shade of beige. when in reality, its far deeper than it appears.(life's all about relationships anyway, all that matters in the end)

"ie, never really learn a damn thing or experience a damn thing."

nice use of the word 'damn' it really got your point across.(you don't look like a jackass at all)

"Bottom line, you're still a kid, male or female."

I'm male, and am now 16. which means I could get married in england if I wanted to.
but I guess anyone under thirty is young for someone of wisdom.

"first real revelation of wisdom is, realize that, you really don't know a damn thing yet, maybe never will, about religion, life, responsibility, who is wise and who isn't, who is trustworthy who isn't, what's a fad and what isn't, what is politically correst shit what isn't, who is a quality person with real courage and who isn't."

okay lets pretend for a second, that I actually have no idea about anything to do with these 'foreign' concepts. What you're saying is, that I should not have an opinion until I know everything. I must not be allowed to think because my knowledge is incomplete. well maybe, that works for you, it'll stop you from thinking about all those scary thoughts. not for me it doesn't, the only way to actually further my knowledge is not to be given it on a platter, I ponder concept's and then decide whether they are still plausible as my mind advances. yes my thoughts may not be correct at this time. but keeping them hidden because so, isn't gonna help much. oh and if I feel the desire to express one of my thought's then I'll do so, no matter how many decrepit people object.

finally...

"Good luck child."

nice touch, really mature, flaunting that age of yours around. really, from what I've read you should be quite ashamed of your knowledge palette, considering your age and all.

Huh, seems all you pseudo intellectuals like to break down a written response like that. Something you learned from other pseudo intellectuals in some class given to insecure whiners on how to respond and intimidate superior minds and opponents? Spend more time learning and less trying to impress yourself and others like you and you might grow up into something useful. As far as age goes, some never get beyond childhood, others due to a good mind, attitude and experiences are decades beyond their chronological age. Some just grow old and stupid. Have a good one kid. PS. Yes, have an opinion, a valid one, don't present yourself as someone who actually had time to do something and did at a ripe old age of 15 when in reality you did nothing and know nothing and it is likely to stay that way with your insulant, arrogant young mind.

looks someone's getting a bit tetchy over the age insults. There is no denying the effectiveness of the argument breakdown. Yes I didn't come up with it, that certainly doesn't mean I shouldn't use it, oh and I've had many arguments, with run of the mill christians, using this exact same method. It is used by most people who partake in online debates, people smart and dumb.

I'm glad you have now seen, that everyone is entitled to an opinion, and the ability to share it. Which I did. What really made me mad, was that you told me my opinion was wrong, with no reasons as to why so, except that I was younger than you. If you had presented, reasonable facts as to why you think differently. then maybe I'd have been a little less 'arrogant' (as you say) with my replies.

one last thing, do you really think that someone who questions society, all forms of it, will never grow their mind? Is it insolent and arrogant to question everything before you believe it. would it be wiser to follow the herd and think as I was told.
I doubt it and I only came off as arrogant in my last post because you decided to be arrogant in yours, my blog entry itself was reasonable with me stating my opinion, just like any christian would display theirs, but instead of threatening my reader with an eternity of hell, I threatened them with a lifetime of being looked down upon as stupid.

Now if you have such a problem with that then I think a blog site isn't the right place for you to be hanging around
