Internet vs Shopping.
It is me once again...

Continue to share my thoughts about the Internet in our life and its opportunity to substitute different spheres of this life. For example, shopping.

Today more and more people prefer Internet shops instead of different markets and so one. It is more comfortable for them to sit home, choose some goods through the Internet and receive their orders in a couple of days or even hours. You can buy everything through the Internet! It is not a problem at all now. More and more companies develop Internet marketing now because they understand the fact it is our future.

My friends, do you agree with the fact the Internet can completely substitute shops and markets? I think that you would agree with me if I considered shops to be “old” way to get something, would not you?

P.S. Though I know taht many ladies like the proces of shopping itself. So, maybe they would not agree to change it to the Internet one. ;-)

Internet really helps us in many ways. Like for example in the given example by the "Lucky_man", nowadays you can shop already without going to malls, online shopping is what most of the people do already. Internet is very informative, you can watch videos and news like for example the clips of the SNL Obama accomplishments which are all over the web, you won't need to find the best payday loans rates anymore just to see it.

I think you right...but personally, I prefer shopping itself. It's much more fun that way I think. But if I ain't got time to run around the shops, I know I can always look it up on the internet and get it deliverd right on my door step. Which is pretty cool.

I have a business of my own...I have a website and sell some of my product over the internet. Its a great concept for making the world market more accessible.

But shopping, for me, is so much more than just purchasing something...so it solves some problems, but it doesn't replace the experience.

Unfortunately the digital utopian dream is, 'Hopefully' not going to be replaced by shopping by simulacra. To release the act of engaging with the actual object is to relinquish power in favour of a faith in commercial reliability. Do you really believe a free society will swallow that, even if technophilic.
There are other forces at play as well, commercial real estate would diminish in value, It would need to be enforced and black market markets would thrive and require additional policing.
Nahhh, the Star Chamber would need a more convincing argument than consumer convenience.
