The catering truck driver that comes to my work told me of a house in Sylmar, Ca. where in the window there is a lighted cross. It can be seen in either the day or during the evening.
 
When you stand outside, the cross is white and appears to be 2-3 feet from the window, (inside the house).
 
When you go inside, the cross is gold and appears to be 5-6 feet from the window, (outside the house).
 
The cross simply appeared one day, (Palm Sunday) and has remained since.
 
I was intrigued, and a little skeptical so I went in the evening to see for myself. Sure enough there was the cross, exactly as he had described it.
 
The Catholic Church has been there to investigate as the homes owner wondered if it were some kind of miracle. Their finding? It is the exact same luminous cross that appears in numerous other windows around the world at the current time. Their explanation? It can't be explained.
 
A sign? I believe so. Of what I do not know. Maybe a simple reminder that God is with us, and will someday return to save us.
 
I had to stand in line with several other people, most of whom did not speak the same language as I but that was ok. As with fires, natural disasters, or anything else that forces us to pause and take notice, we were there as one race, the human race and it was beautiful.
 
I took pictures with my phone. The smaller ones where the cross is white are from the outside. The larger ones where the cross is gold are from the inside. The black line is the beam that runs between the windows. I held the camera both vertical and horizontal.
 
Several other people have taken pictures too. In some of those pictures there is a very distinct image of the Virgin Mary next to the cross. Another person has a picture with a white bearded man below the cross. Yet another had a picture where a relative who has been dead for three years appeared next to the cross.
 
My pictures revealed just the cross. It's ok though beautiful just the same.
