These photographs were taken at Brompton cemetery - one of London's biggest garden cemeteries. The colours are a bit screwy, but you get the idea. The Victorians were huge on death, in a creepy gothic sort of way. But I love wandering round these places. They are such havens of peace and calm. I would love to be buried there, and for the people after me to walk around, find my grave under a big arse oak tree and wonder who I was.


Also, big stone angels are cool.
