 A Veggie Bloggie Rantie Thingie
Yes I'm a vegetarian and have been all my life. I think it's wrong to eat animals.
I've had my share of peculiar questions asked to me I thought I'd share my views...

I think every veggie must get used to the old "Can you eat cheese?" remark, in which I say, "Yes or I would have said I'm a vegan." I got quizzed on my vegetarianism worse than that, every week in my year 9 art class. It got quite tedious. Every week I also got pestered with "but I've seen you eat a ham sandwich" which is a lie as I have never eaten meat.
Years later and not only have the ridiculous questions kept coming, but the idiocy has peaked at  "Can you eat pepperami?" and worse, "Can you eat potatoes?" I mean how moronic people are nowadays is beyond me.

Recently I was offered the rest of someone's ham roll. I said, "no thanks I'm a veggie." and they were like "Oh my god! really? I didn't know."
I was thinking 'Naahh you offered me meat cause you knew that I was a veggie, of course you didn't know!' Then she started waving it near my face going "mmmm ham" Well for one, when it's been cooked and I can smell it already it is bad enough, but waving it near my face is just plain rude! I'm not scared of it for christs sake, I choose not to eat it, I'd prefer you not waving your dead animal in front of me.

It is also annoying when people say "HOW do you not eat meat?" Well the thing is I just don't put meat in my mouth, simple.

Give the veggies some love! We are people too!

People who behave as you describe are uncouth ignoramuses.
