Hi my name is Lisa.  I have two wonderful children, a daughter, Nicki, age 11 and a  son, Matt, age 10.  They are my pride and joy.  I am also blessed with two great stepchildren, a stepdaughter, Tiffany (age 25 who is in her third year of VET School - one more year and I'll have a "doctor" in the family, and a stepson, Scott, who will soon be 19 and will have completed his first year of University.  Around a year ago, I found myself in the unfortunate and VERY unexpected position of being separated!  It has been a very tough year, but each day does get better.  I am a BIG believer that these things happen for a reason!  I liked being married and I truly thought we would be together forever.  I believe in marriage - when I took my vows - I meant them!!  Today, too many people just don't "work" at their marriages - they do not understand  what a true partnership is about - you grow together BUT that takes work and it takes effort on both parts!!!!  However, the "choice" was removed from me so I will carry on.  I am very much learning to "accept the things I CANNOT change, the COURAGE to change the things I can and the WISDOM to know the difference (a definite work in progress!!!)

I love Elvis Presley (I have since I was four and heard him sing "HoundDog"!  I love to read (a variety ... from the Bible to Harry Potter!!!!).  When we get settled in our new home, we're going to get a dog.  I like Spring, love summer, the Fall is pretty and I HATE winter (although I do love a "White Christmas")!!!!

I have met many people in my life but I only have a very few CLOSE friends.  I have an incredible "MUM" - she has been such an inspiration in my life.    I have so many things to be grateful for AND I try to keep that the center of focus!  Thanks for reading.
