Introduction time!

Hello. My name's Lilian..or Lily for short. I'm a dark brindle Greyhound. Here's a picture of me when I was only a few days old.

I was born October 2nd, 2007. Which happened to be a Tuesday. So right now that makes me 8 weeks and 2 days old.

My Mum's name is Deb, I look a lot like her. See? Well..maybe I'm a tad bit darker.

I've got 4 other siblings named Troy, Jackson, Zeus and Bella. There was another girl, but she was too small and weak and had passed on not too long after she was born.

My brothers and sisters and I were close to being terminated. See my Mum, Deb, was supposed to be a racing greyhound. But when she arrived at the kennels and had her check-up the vet told kennel owner that either she had already had a litter of puppies or is pregnant. So the vet gave her a feel and sure enough! There we were! With my Mum's racing career over before it started the trainer contacted my Mum's owner and told him the situation. Now mind you..not all owners are like hers. Please keep that in mind. There are a few bad ones out there that ruin the name for all other racing owners. He told the trainer to send her back to the farm and he would shoot her and drown the puppies. The trainer was sickened that he would even say that so she gave my Mum to one of the Kennel Personel so she could give birth and eventually be adopted out.

So that's a bit of my background. Well I suppose that is enough for now. I'll be writting to you again soon.
